COAS and DG ISI reach PM house

Iss nay tu yeh jamaat pedaish par hi join karli thi...

Placing bets with friends on a Deja VU of the last ten years again happening by 2033. N league, PPP then some other “revolutionary” party.. then same humiliation and expose of how sold out and spineless the Pakistani people are.

Poor Faiz Ahmed Faiz forgot that some Kuttas either don’t recognize Zillat or have very short memories
Faiz was the biggest Kutta himself who conspired to overthrow a gov't...

Let me just say that the army is not against Imran Khan.

So are they just pro status quo?

Calm down guys... don't worry! Imran Khan would InShaAllah sail through this difficulty!

With China & Russia openly giving statements & tweeting about regime change attempt in Pakistan, tables have now turned.

The state will now stand with its PM. Moreover these tweets are a nail in the authenticity of the letter issue.

Army isn't against Imran Khan, there is no alternative to Imran Khan. Army though is trying to stay out of politics, while at the same time using this dispute to iron out some of their reservations with IK government. In the end, they will lend some support and sanity would prevail InShaAllah. 90% efforts of IK, 10% push by establishment.

A Hybrid government of 10-11 parties can not and will not last due to their mutual disputes. Establishment knows IK has been supportive & serious about national defence. The amount of military acquisitions in the past few years by military are unprecedented.

Dude why is this becoming an international circus scene?
So embarrassing for our nation

Because international players are involved.

In fact there is rarely any international attention to this. Have you seen BBC, CNN, Washington Post etc put any news regarding this? They are pretty quite.

WSJ and NYT put stuff out

Cheif reportedly met three times with PMIK today. The latest one being one hour ago. Something is definitely going on.

I have been through a lot of emotions within the last 24 hours. First I thought the establishment is behind all this because IK was abruptly stopped from showing the letter to the press and was stopped from talking to the nation because they rushed to his home and then the letter was sealed apparently and then someone got an injunction from the IHC which is ruled by pro-PMLN judge athar minallah.

As the day went on, journalists DID actually meet IK and he DID explain to them a little more about the letter, and then a couple of posts here on the forum came up with a theory that it is all done on purpose so the intelligence agencies can track down proofs of who is involved. Also, IK told the journalist himself that this letter was executed after the visit to Russia and he went on the visit after talking to COAS. This all pointed towards a sort of espionage operation by the government and agencies. There is a clear threat to the nation of Pakistan if they did not succeed in a no-confidence motion. I thought Nah, the establishment is with the government.

Now at this time in the early morning, looking back at all of these incidents again I am left with questions. How did MQM turn overnight? How did so many MNA of PTI were found at a gathering by the opposition at the Sindh house yesterday? How did BAP turn and also mentioned fauj nay kaha tha without consequences? Why was the injunction approved in such haste? And why did the establishment reach bani gala as soon as IK announced to talk to the public? So once again I am inclined toward the opposition/establishment gath jor.

I know, I am overthinking everything :D or NOT.

Lucky you didn't have tanks coming to the PM house and you didn't have to lye in front of tanks. Our forces are patriotic and mature. InShaAllah, things will settle soon. Traitors must be held accountable. System must overhaul itself post toppling attempt.

Pakistan PM Imran Khan loses support days before no-confidence vote

Key coalition partner has switched allegiance ahead of a parliamentary no-confidence vote this weekend

Imran Khan’s future as prime minister of Pakistan is looking increasingly in doubt after a key coalition partner switched allegiance ahead of a parliamentary no-confidence vote this weekend.
The former cricketer was expected to address the country in the evening, as weeks of political turmoil come to a head – including allegations of foreign interference.
No prime minister in Pakistan’s history has seen out a full term, and Khan is facing the biggest challenge to his rule since being elected in 2018, with opponents accusing him of economic mismanagement and foreign policy bungling.

Debate on the no-confidence motion is due to start on Thursday, leaving Khan scrambling to keep his own Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members on side – as well as a slew of minority parties.
The PTI and coalition partners have 176 seats in the 342-member assembly, but on Wednesday the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM-P) said its seven lawmakers would vote with the opposition, which has a combined 163 seats.
More than a dozen PTI lawmakers have also indicated they will cross the floor, although party leaders are trying to get the courts to prevent them from voting on Sunday.

In the past, Pakistan parties have also resorted to physically preventing lawmakers from voting against key legislation by blocking access to the national assembly, leading to cat-and-mouse chases and even accusations of kidnapping.

The main opposition parties, the Pakistan People Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), dominated national politics for decades until Khan forged a coalition against the usually feuding groups.
He was elected after promising to sweep away decades of entrenched corruption and cronyism, but has struggled to maintain support with inflation soaring, a feeble rupee and crippling debt.
Some analysts say Khan has also lost the crucial support of the military – claims both sides deny – and Pakistan’s army is key to political power. There have been four military coups, and at least as many unsuccessful ones, since independence in 1947, and the country has spent more than three decades under army rule.

f Khan loses the vote, a new government could be headed by PML-N’s Shehbaz Sharif, the brother of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who has not returned since being released from jail to get medical treatment abroad.
Also likely to be given a senior role will be the PPP’s Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, son of assassinated former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and ex-president Asif Zardari.
One card up Khan’s sleeve could be to call an early election; the next one must be held before October 2023.
“The best option in this situation would have been fresh elections to enable the new government to handle economic, political and external problems faced by the country,” said political analyst Talat Masood, a retired general.
“The country is heading towards something unpredictable … where there is going to be a lot of chaos and problems.”
