We did what you did in Tibet and Xinjiang, what Russia did in Chechnya, what UK did in Ireland, what Burma is doing with ROhingyas, what SriLanka did with LTTE or even what Pakistan is doing with Balochi or TTP. Because India was a colony of British, Indian can't convince Manipuri, Assamese and Nagas to be under Indian governing. Indian could be independent from British, why we can't? Most of the NE Indians are pretty happy, there are so many of them in other places on India gone are the days where they were not known and remained completely isolated. Now they are part of mainstream India. In this forum itself there are people from NE India, in our army there are so many. It is just some elements are very tribal minded and mostly in remote areas or border areas. Also even before British colony our ancient kingdoms were present there. Indian govt is doing all it can in helping the natives. But i will not say we have no problem. Kashmir is a problem but it is a lot better than the last 10 yrs. Slowly and steadily even they are being part of the main stream here. Just how Tibet and Xinjiang is become normal now Kashmir will also become. Also Indian police brutality is not just in these places it is all over India even in Capital lol.
