What's new

CM KPK Orders Peshawar BRT to be finished by Dec 2017. Work to Start Next Year

and more that has nothing to do with completing a bus system.
But ruling party vs PTI does - I quoted you on that!
YOU on the other hand forgot to include geography of the region, the fact that a 3 decade + tujurbah group is doing the same as a new comer in the game is kind of shameful!

so now you admit that Noon has tajurba and tajubra is very important in development of a country.
Thanks you baji

it claims to have tujurbah....By sitting in 1 spot for 3 decades, one would "expect" nothing less.... havent seen it though

comon baji now you flip flopping like Imran, first you said they completed all those projects because of tajruba, now you saying you have seen anything...what is it
I think we should stop this before you admit more :)

first you said they completed all those projects because of tajruba, now you saying you have seen anything
Did I say that?
This is what I said:
Are you by any chance comparing
Lahore
A city under the noons for over 3 decades, with everything documented or atleast known coz its the same govt
with proper roads and other infrastructure to make life easy

with

Peshawar:
a city that has been neglected in all its infrastructure
Is more mountainous than Lahore

Man you really hate Noons, dont you? I mean you gotta hate noons to think so little of them to compare their 3 decades plus tajurbah to a new party! :D
Where 3 decades = 1st time party.....You tell me how is the tajurba going? :pop:

I think we should stop this

Yea we better stop you growing too old to ketchup ;)

we are not talking about 3 decades, we are talking about the completion of BRT system...Like I said before you can cite everything on this planet that doesnt relates to this topic, wont change the facts

p.s. looks like both you and I have nothing to do this fine Sunday :)

we are not talking about 3 decades, we are talking about the completion of BRT system
Well that 3 decades includes the BRT system in Punjab....or does that fit in the 4th decade? :pop:

Being expensive not being able to negotiate
not being compatible enough to put a drainage system in a metro
Not checking quality for chipping of bridge
No clue about how to pay back but already putting subsidy on the tickets
No plan on how to pay back the loans

Which decade thought them this failure? :pop:

p.s. looks like both you and I have nothing to do this fine Sunday :)
Nahhh...I finished my assignments

I have no problem with people travelling with ease....but the problem arises when there is no future plan to pay back and how to run a cheap system without facing a downfall in the future...with unpar jahil in parliament that is no easy task and worrisome!

Yes it is their right....1 of the things I admire about them...They dont let you stick around to slap them the 2nd time! Now that is called lesson learnt! Unlike other parts of Pakistan who if once get slapped, offer the other cheek for a repeat!

I will be! Coz CPEC has very little to do with who was sitting in the development sector and more to do with China's interest and let me remind you it is still China who is making sure all goes strictly as planned, and on time....Even after being annoyed by india's petty cries they still held on! Had China been ruled by Shariffs I dont think I can say the same for hanging on!

Well, the chairman of Noon is a bigger culprit since 80s! No one has been able to answer that one he even waived off the charges against him in 1997!

It is interesting how you find PTI dramabazi but failed to see NS's drama where he throws himself to SC - same court which said haan haan there are fake votes, addition ballots were found, some boxes missing but this is the fairest election! I dont care what IK says...its obvious to anyone with a brain where SC stands! with its own judges on panama list it is no surprise NS threw himself there!

And 2nd part of the drama how is SC going to take a case where no evidence is in their hands? Has it even called Germany to get a copy of the accounts? Does the SC also have judges with degrees in forensics finance because say they do get copies of the accounts can the judges go through it and spot the problems? So yet another drama exposed!

ohh look they put up noon on the poster as a demonstration :pop:

Can you explain this:
THERE have been fascinating statistics and facts disclosed in the media about the metro bus projects in Lahore and Islamabad. The Lahore metro bus has a 27km route with 8km elevated construction completed at a cost of Rs29.8bn. Only about 50km away in Amritsar, India, a similar project of 31km with 12km of elevated construction started during the same period. It was completed at a cost of Rs9.2bn (cost has been calculated according to Pakistani currency).

The price of cement, steel and labour is a little higher in India. There are more than a dozen other such metro projects built in various cities of India, completed at costs three to four times lower than the Lahore project.

Why do we have to pay Rs 20 billion extra...do ask NS did he siphon that to his foreign accounts?

And before we give all hail to poster man:

After 20 years of discussion, the ambitious and expensive Lahore Metro, which had first been proposed in 1991 was abandoned in favour of a bus transit system, inspired by the successful Istanbul Metrobus system. Plans were developed in the last quarter of 2011 by both local and Turkish experts.

So it isnt a brainchild of this century but in fact an old project reopened from 2decades ago...instead of having something improved or a better alternative, braindead people just opened an old project?

Can you please Again check the Amritsar Metro Lahore Metro has much better buss then them plus it doesn't even have a separate track :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: Comparing Apple with Oranges

Downfall the Metro is so Crowded that GOPunjab ordered 26 more buses for Lahore :D and all over the World Public transport is subsidized what are you talking about?

People of punjab can see the development around them that's why they gave vote to PML N even from those areas where PPP candidates won

Yes China is making sure these projects gets completed on time cause PTI is doing politics over it and making it controversial just like Kalabagh Dam

Well Imran Khan Asked the commission under Present Supreme court Judge if Supreme Court of Pakistan is not gonna investigate who will US COurt or Obama ? BS talking....
Imran Khan failed to Provide the proofs of Rigging SC just threw his truck load of proof out of the premises of court

and a separate track increases the funds that is logical...
But I see a separate track in the video:

Laughs on you mate! :pop:

I have worked with many project managers in the US on big and small projects and each and every project is left with some holes and they are patched later. For someone who is still completing assignment this may not seem right but this is real life.

They did update the plans:

"The roads are being widened at some places to create space for the BRTS and where there is no buffer land, elevated roads are being built to ensure that the existing space for cars and other vehicles is not shrunk," said an official.

Due to widespread encroachment along the main roads, Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB) had problems creating the bus lanes and decided to go in for elevated roads, which require sacrificing the forest cover.

"Dedicating a lane for BRTS to enable uninterrupted flow of buses would involve shifting the entire load of two wheelers, three wheelers onto other lanes. Given the current volume of traffic, this would have led to congestion in case of roads with two lanes only," he added.

I have no doubt that nothing is perfect...HOWEVER, I feel it is sad that even with so many years on the political front the ruling party failed to learn from the past and their past mistakes! The Lahore project was first proposed in 1991....You mean to tell me no one could think of a drainage problems since 1991? :o: AMAZING!

you cannot compare the cost of two projects
One should be able to ...if not how will you know you are overspending or you could get a better price elsewhere? I guess Noon didnt compare hence paid higher price?

Laughs on you ma'am Look at the buses they are using :D :D add the cost of the buses
It's 9 billion Indian rupees :D Pakistani 1.70 rupee = 1 Indian rupees :D do the maths
Stations on both sides not in the center :D :D
there elevated track is for both cars and BRT while Pakistani elevated tracks are only for buses plus the repairing the roads cost...
At Azadi Chock and other Areas Punjab GOv bought land from the people even paid them :D :D

:omghaha::omghaha::omghaha:

Laughs on you ma'am Look at the buses they are using :D :D add the cost of the buses
How different are their buses?

Can you show me a picture of both Lahore/ Isb vs Indian side by side?

I want to see where the Rs 20 billion extra went!
It's 9 billion Indian rupees :D Pakistani 1.70 rupee = 1 Indian rupees :D do the maths
