What's the big deal? Abe already admitted the Diaoyu Islands are disputed. Chinese coast have a right to be in disputed territorial waters of Diaoyu Island just like Japanese coast guard.

LOOL U.S will never get outta Asian affairs. Why should it? Afterall, i dont see any Asian country in which the U.S has a military presence/influence asking the U.S to leave, in fact its the opposite, see Philippines now begging the U.S to return after kicking them out, singapore hosting U.S ships, Malaysia considering allowing U.S patrol aircrafts in its air space, Vietnam considering getting closer to the U.S etc...etc...
Moreover, You should be thankful to the U.S instead of wishing for them to depart East Asia, since without the U.S your country(well if its even a country, since it isn't recognized by the majority of countries in the world) will be just another province of China longgg ago. So be greatful to the U.S instead of wishing they leave.

Hmm, it seems that the issue of the war and military history will forever be an impasse between Chinese and Japanese. Chinese, from what I notice in my interaction with a great many of you in this site, revile the very mention of Japan's Empire. As if its 'don't talk about it' issue.

It would be a miracle if the major Asian economies can finally agree to a currency swap. USA will do its best to disrupt any plans. Yet China basically has no issue with Japan as long as the Diaoyu Island dispute is properly shelved and East China Sea negotiations are still ongoing. In contrast, China has a more serious territorial conflict with Vietnam and the Philippines.
