Chinese-madeType 92 wheeled armored personnel carrier catches fire in eastern Myanmar.

The fire on Myanmar Army Type 92 armoured personnel carrier in Tachileik border town occurred at around 9:45 P.M., local media said.

In the footage, filmed in Tachileik on Wednesday, firemen can be seen battling the fire in the burnt-out armoured personnel carrier at the side of the road.

According to news reports, the Chinese-madeType 92 wheeled armored personnel carrier was transporting troops to military range near the border with Thailand when the engine caught fire.

Fortunately, nobody was injured in the accident with Type 92 armoured personnel carrier.

Type 92 is an armoured personnel carrier designed and built by the China North Industries Group Corporation (Norinco). It has a crew of three men, and is fully amphibious, being driven in the water by shrouded propellers. Constructed of welded steel plates, the interior is divided into three compartments. The driver and commander sit in the front, the engine is in the middle, and the passengers, equipment or turret basket is located in the rear.

The hull of the vehicle protects the crew from small arms fire and shell splinters. The vehicle offers all-round protection against 12.7mm calibre weapon systems.

Type 92 is powered by a Deutz BF8L 413FC diesel engine coupled to a fully automatic transmission with five forward gears and one reverse. The engine delivers maximum power of 320hp.

Lol the myuanmar forces make me laugh. Artillery and mortar keeps exploding on their faces, F7 and newer aircraft keep crashing. Tanks getting broken and now APC catches fire. What the **** is wrong with them? May be they don't maintain their assets and keep using em without maintinence?

More like basic maintenance is too 'high tech' for the PLA conscripts. Do we need to draw cartoon pix on how to change the oil?
Better than poorly train and amateur seaman who cant steer a billion dollar warship properly and ram into merchant ships. :enjoy:

MAybe PLAN shall donate some near decommission warship for these clown to train on it first before humiliate themselves further.

More like its too difficult for you to tell the difference between the PLA and Burmese army. I will try to illustrate the difference with flags. This is China's flag:

This is not China's flag:
