If you believe that our government is weak when it comes to the Chinese policy of pitching tents in our territory and then making a run for it when India starts getting vocal, imagine how weak the CCP is. They have a huger army, a larger budget etc and all they do is pitch tents on territory claimed by India. To a certain extent the CCP is faced with a similar dilemma when it comes to India which India faces when it comes to Pakistan and their antics namely, we know that we could possibly whip them but what will be the long term effect to us. Certainly not in our favor either economically or globally. In that respects the CCP will just have to remain as impotent towards India as India remains impotent towards Pakistan. Both can show off their huge apparatus (military machines) but none can get it working

They are scared to take decisions many of them think they will be hounded out if in the later stages of the deal any corruption is found.
Besides by just procuring weapons is not going to stop china better to have a growing and robust economy with adequate defense spending to build up capability.
Economy is the most important aspects of any country's defense,second is deterrence with second strike capability and then conventional capability of the armed forces.

What u r suggesting is 100% correct n i do agree with u BUT its a Looong term plan n its not gonna stop these Chinese from jumping here n there from Tomorrow morning.

For improving our current situation we need some quick n strong steps, we don't have luxury to wait for a decade to stop these scumbags from erecting tents in our territory..

Quick steps wont stop them if they really intend to invade which i highly doubt.

The face-off between the Indian Army and the People¡¯s Liberation Army (PLA) of China continued in Chaglagam sectorof Arunachal Pradesh as Chinese troops refused to budge from the occupied position approximately 30 km inside the Indian territory.
Sources said the Indian side decided not to escalate the tension and efforts were on for a flag meeting between thelocal commanders to resolve the differences.
¡°Chinese troops had put up tents on Tuesday night at the occupied position, but it was removed on Wednesday morning. Efforts are on to endthe standoff between the two sides. Currently, 9 JAK rifles is face to face with Chinese troops in Chaglagam sector,¡± sources said.
¡°There were several intrusions in the past also when Chinese used to come and put some signs inside ourterritory before departure. But this time they are showingmore aggression and refuse to vacate the occupied position despite official drill and aerial recce by Dy GoC and a brigadier,¡± he said.
Although, there have been several instances of Chinese incursions in the recent past, the Centre had said that the two sides were committed to maintain peace and tranquillityalong the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Indo-Chinaborder areas, pending a final settlement of the boundary question.
¡°The Centre keeps a constantwatch on all developments having a bearing on India¡¯s security and takes all necessary measures to safeguard it,¡± the MEA said.
