No they are not. Every damn article cites the same one or two factories where this is happening.
And these robots are the things that will help grow productivity.
Let me simplify
Economy= Population * Productivity
Now your population is almost static, the productivity must rise.
Installing modern robots and technology increases productivity. So this will help the factory workers doing higher value added stuff.
The Japanese have been waiting for a robot revolution since 1980s, something which never came. Don't do the same mistake.
Workers are still the primary units of production. All robots, technology are just add ons, to increase productivity of one worker.
Right now the earnings of a family will easily cross 100k yuan. And raising a kid will require significant investment in effort, time, and money.
University: 5000-7500yuan per year (free for poor)Robots can produce with only a few managers. It isn't the 1980s anymore, it's 2015. By 2050 my money is on robots in China capable of taking on hundreds of millions of low wage jobs, freeing the rest of the population for leisure and better work.
Grandparents = free childcare
University = $2500-5000 a year?
HS Fees = $500-1500 a year?
Food = 1/3rd the price as in developed countries
Basic medical care = ?? anyone from mainland want to fill me in?
Money is not that important. Central bank can increase money supply.Robots can produce with only a few managers. It isn't the 1980s anymore, it's 2015. Robot is not the way to solve this problem,men should and would not become some kind of parasite.industry is just a little part of economy.This is really stupid.Men who work creat the true value.Robots can produce with only a few managers. What is Govia?
Also, we don't have a demographic crisis.[/QUOT
No it is not.
I am highly interested in space. When you see the depths of space, you realize how insignificant humans really are.
Ultimately the ability to sustain a population depends on technological advancements.
In 1000 AD, it would have been unimaginable to sustain the number of people that we do now.
I predict that if we continue on our technological trend, we can sustain as much as 1 trillion people by 2300.
Also, Indian population is growing at around 1%. The economy is growing at around 7%. This means that obviously the standards of living are rising.
Not really. I am just discussing here.
For India, Indian demographics are in the right spot. We can sustain that much population with efficiency increases over longer periods of time.[/Q
True.
The world is deficient in resources and food.
We will see a chaotic India in the coming decade.
So many people in such a tiny place.
Once an Indian tried to compare Mumbai to my city.
Hello! We have ten million people, yes, but in 8000km2.
(One thing i can praise them. Although GDP of Mumbai is smaller than ours, their GDP per km2 is bigger).
Oh yes, enough food.
And u don't eat meat.
How many food are rotten in storage and on the crappy roads?

So malnutrition and insanely low life expectancy is there.So Indians' vegetables and fruits average consumption is less than half of that of Chinese, and they basically don't consume meat. So what do they eat exactly?

So what's the point?Children and the aged still don't work.Less people still create less value.Robot still has nothing to do with this problem.Men will still be working, only on better jobs and jobs of their choosing.

Yeah,don't know what is the point to let women retire five years younger than men while they live 5 years longer than men,this is laughable law.China's retirement ages are 55 for women and 60 for men, that is why there are so many "dama" dancing on the street everywhere. Learn from US, and make retirement age to 67, then you solve both working population and square dancing problem in one shot.
Which is a good thing. They retire so young people can get a job. In Canada, old asses work past 67 so we have a high youth unemployment rate.China's retirement ages are 55 for women and 60 for men, that is why there are so many "dama" dancing on the street everywhere. OP was worried about China not having enough work force by 2050. Postponing retirement is one way to solve the problem, just like every wealth western countries.
I don't think Cananda could afford if people retire in 55 or 60.No need to mention China and Japan which have a much unhealthy population structure.Olds should work if they can instead of sitting there and get fat.1 men could not afford 4 olds and 1 child.Which is a good thing.
