China's says, Indian development on the Indian Ocean is good for China's security

from the subject its obvious that China is getting threatened from INDIA...with India's long range missiles & AWACS..theyre feeling the heat..and wants to make a wedge between US & India, even though War is remote between India & China and China knows India cannot match its strength in military & economy, however they know that India can do some devastating damage if any confrontation takes place.
INDIA should be an ally with US and acquire all high tec weapons until its confident to match CHINA by having high tec force multipliers, then talk peace with strength with its neighbors !!!

If India is willing to take a subservient role, then why not just ally with China? Why ally with the U.S. to desist China when allying with China would solve all of your problems? China has no need for the disputed territories except for security concerns, and an alliance would take care of that.

China also said something once.

What was it?

ahhhh

It was "Hindi-Chini Bhai Bhai."

GB

That was a propaganda back in 62, right now if they are encouraging weapons buildup it clearly sends a message that they want us in their camp instead of US .... but the beuty is that we have always been neutral

Shame of 1962 to stay veiled
OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT

New Delhi, April 19: Even 48 years after the India-China war in the Northeast when Chinese forces overran Arunachal Pradesh before withdrawing unilaterally, the Centre has no intention to make public a report on the military failures of the Indian army and the security establishment.

Defence minister A.K. Antony today ruled out making public the inquiry report compiled by a lieutenant general and a brigadier. “The government does not propose to make public the Henderson Brooks Inquiry Report on the Sino-Indian conflict of 1962. The report is a ‘top secret’ document, based on an internal study by the Indian Army, contents of which are not only extremely sensitive but are of current operational value,” Antony said in a written reply in Parliament today.

Lieutenant General T. Henderson Brooks of the Indian Army with the brigadier, commandant of the Indian Military Academy at that time, were asked to make an operations review of the war.

Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister, V.K. Krishna Menon was the defence minister and General V.N. Thapar was the chief of army staff at that time. Mao Tse Tung was in power in China.

Military historians and researchers have been seeking the de-classification to analyse what went wrong for India. Former British journalist and author, Neville Maxwell, claimed he had summaries of the report. Some of that content went into his book, India’s China War, in which he said India’s political and military leadership were guilty of persisting with an aggressive border policy that was one of the main reasons for provoking the war.

Antony said the Centre had compiled official histories of the 1947 war with Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir, the 1965 war with Pakistan, the 1971 war with Pakistan and the 1999 Kargil conflict. The official history of the 1947 war was made public in 1987.

The defence ministry’s history division has taken up the compilation /publication of other historical records, starting with the 1965 war.

yes, personally i wouldnt mind that at all, provided china lifts its claim on arunachal pradesh and recognize it as indian territory, encourage pakistan to stop the terror camps running against india and also invite pakistan to the alliance tht will assure the safety of the region and will be a great step towards development :victory::victory::victory:

However, India and the average Indian always act like they own the entire Indian Ocean.

The world should complain to the United Nation and have the name "India Ocean" changed to something else.

to what pakistan ocean

remember even after so many partitions its still Indian subcontinent

Indian subcontinent - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Indian Ocean is the third largest of the world's oceanic divisions, covering about 20% of the water on the Earth's surface. It is bounded on the north by the Indian subcontinent; on the west by East Africa; on the east by Indochina, the Sunda Islands, and Australia; and on the south by the Southern Ocean (or, depending on definition, by Antarctica). It is the only ocean to be named after the name of a country, i.e., India

it is the india side that refuses to negotiate and continues to make claims base on a treaty which the original signer have refuted and declared illegal, offers have been made in the past which would have saw china drop its claims on southern Tibet and settle basically on LOC(actually less than that for china). also you WANT china to be involved in pakistan-india relations/negotiations? 0_o

Why should China come all the way to Indian Ocean, spent their precious resources to be only the third largest player in the field. The first and second occupied by USA and India respectively (who can change places). They would rather concentrate in west Pacific where they can concentrate on Russia, USA 7th fleet, Japan and Taiwan.

^^ What a load of bullshit we have here!

When India was named?

When the Indian Ocean was named?

--- the time when the Europeans tried to reach America via the Eastern Route, but instead discovered dark "Indians" at your side whom they thought were American Indians. That's far far more than 60 years for God's sake.

First there was the Indian Ocean, named after "Indians" they discovered along the way; Then modern day 60-year-old India was named.

It should be therefore that

India is the only country to be named after the name of an ocrean.

(man, I wish India were next to the Black Sea 60 years ago, then you people would definitely have a totally different country name today  )

Even though both terms were coined by your white master the Brits, it seems however that they forgot to teach you how to order them and make a sense out of them, didn't they?

By the way, that wiki page you quoted was edited by my secretary when she was drunk. Sorry...

The Greeks named the region India falls under India during Alexander's time after the the river Indus. The Brits did not dream of the name.

Your history is backward...the Europeans tried to reach India thro the Atlantic and discovered Native Indians who they mistook for the Indians they wanted to find not the other way around.

Dont worry with a 2% GDP, we will see long can you keep the hook in your hand:)....

You mean a 13 trillion economy for 310 million people..the hook is secure for a long long time.
