What I can say is my high respect for anti western alliance declined due to the recent developments. Many things can be said, many conspiracy theories can be hatched about Western and Muslim countries but when the push comes to shove they proved to be helpful. If the socialists stand like this for social injustice then their camps are bound to be empty. So shameful by Putin, Duterte, Assad. Mugabe already out, that is one less support to Myanmar. Belarus another poodle of Russia. From Russia Chechens are sympathetic to this cause, same is opposition in Philippines. Russia which is considered more close to Bangladesh totally lost in this. Atleast China tried to maintain balance by offering mediation and visit of their FM was helpful.

West played a smart move by outclassing China in this issue. China could have stayed neutral knowing well that Russia will veto against it....Rather than staying neutral China explicitly showed its support to MYNAMAR.

Anyway, China knows very well the sentiments of BD and its people...China can very well support Myanmar with this issue and sale some submarines to BD...BD will forget all this Rohigya issue with China...BD is simply using Rohingys issue to gain attention and brgaining power to extract good deal from West and China too...

So every one is simply playing as per their intrest...It is the poor Rohingys who are being used as Cannon fodder by BD, China and West....

China doesn't have a land border with Bangladesh, which wouldn't matter anyway since Bangladesh sold us out on the Sonadia port project. Imagine we had built a huge project like CPEC in Bangladesh only to have the port project torn out of our hands at the last minute.

Or Bangladesh almost divided India's two major parts which are connected through narrow space called Chicken neck corridor+ If India can't dominate Bay of Bengal means India will not able to dominate Indian ocean fully.

Well, there're more than 1.4 billion Chinese, we should support different viewpoints, he does have valid points in his comments whether or not he is Chinese.

BD has its unique strategic value different from MM. The weakness of India is its diverse culture and population, Kashmir and its 7 North East states. If BD can join our team, India will face a great pressure in its weak NE state, this is what MM can't or wouldn't like to offer.

It's very obvious that BD has its a dilemma of *jailed by India from three sides*, the independence of India NE is the only way to break this dilemma, it's not necessarily to become a reality, keep the pressure to India is where the China and BD have common interest.

CPC's soft attitude was also the main problem, they lack the determination to protect the small South Asian neighbors against India's aggression.

They are too timid and passive, and got pushed around by a far weaker India.

Just look at the Doklam standoff, what a perfect opportunity they have missed. If it was Chairman Mao, he would have seized this perfect opportunity and crushed India like a bug.

Just look at 1962 compared the Doklam standoff; embarrassing.

Today's PLA might be military comparable to the US, but mentality they are by far weaker than a half century ago.

1. you lost sonadia port, simply because CPC wanted full control of the port. Banglaesh would get loan and for that China would get interest. Beside that Chinese workers would work here and share would have been 50-50.
But your CPC wanted full of it. Now tell me, who was more rational here ?
2. you forgot to mention USA has eye on sonadia long before you have. We continuously denied them.
Now tell me, did not we do a favor to you by keeping USA out of here ?
