China's first aviation flight camp launched in Xingyi

An aviation flight camp opened in Wanfeng forest in Xingyi, Guizhou on Sept 21.

The facility will provide a base for light aircrafts such as paragliders and hot air balloons. It will also offer flight packages for tourists.

To make full use of Xingyi's airspace resources, low-level visual flight routes have been designed. The flight routes have been created with sports competitions, leisure and flight training in mind.

Liu Dake, a senior staff member at the camp, said that Xingyi recently held a hot air balloon competition in Wanfeng forest due to its favorable climate and landscape.

"The climate and landform of Wangfeng forest is the reason why the first aviation flight camp launched here," said Liu.

Zhu Baolin, an official from the Sport Administration of Guizhou Province, pointed out that the aviation camp will play a significant role in promoting the integration of sports industry and the tourism industry.

The capital of China's poorest province, Guiyang City has done it for a long time in the city centre (in 2015, 12km2)....
And their aim is to provide wifi at Every Corner of the WHOLE city.....
From my experiences in Australia, they did a pretty bad jobs in wifi, not just public wifi, but wifi in restaurant, bank, hospital, hotel, tourist site, etc....
In China, even the cheapest eatery can offer high-speed wifi.
I was very frustrated by wifi (and internet at hotel) everyday when I traveled there....

3D transport network: subway+BRT+elevated express roads
Commercial centres and tourist facilities provide jobs
Schools and hospitals provide education and health care.

We can clearly see, this new community built on the site of the formal slum, has very bad location, surrounded by mountains (we can see the main city afar in the photo). In transforming such poor regions, we must consider a developed road system as well as modern public transport system. Better access to downtown will ensure them better employability, of course jobs in situ are important too.

I was really shocked when I first visited Guiyang last August....
Especially on my way from Anshun City to Guiyang.....
I'm very glad to see development not just happening in Anshan-Guiyang region, but in other poorer regions in Guizhou Province...These regions are growing at 10+%, one of the fastest in China.

Summit to be held in Guizhou for better protection of traditional villages

The second annual Qiandongnan Traditional Village Summit will be held from Oct 13 to 16 in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, Guizhou province, according to a recent news conference in Beijing.

The summit is co-launched by eight ministries and state-level administrations, including Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Ministry of Land and Resources and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.

About 600 representatives from UNESCO, experts, officials, artists and tourism professionals are expected to attend the event to explore optimized methods protecting traditional villages in China and simultaneously improving local economy.

Qiandongnan is the country's biggest hub for traditional villages — 276 villages in the prefecture are inscribed on the national list of traditional villages, composing 10.8 percent of China's total number.

　　重点旅游景区持续火爆

　　“十一”黄金周前3天，省内各大景区游客接待量有增无减。

　　10月3日，截止上午12：00，进入黄果树大瀑布景区的自驾游和旅游客车已达5900多辆，售出门票2.6万张。梵净山景区游客接待量达到最大承载值。贵安新区各景点接待旅游人数16.43万人次，旅游商品销售总收入2332.2万元，旅游总收入达7215万元左右。
