Lately there is news being circulated on some Chinese media platforms that China has a third stealth fighter jet, J-18 undergoing a trial flight test. J-18 is reported to a STOVL version of the J-31 stealth fighter, which went on its maiden test last month.

Wow. Awaiting other details eagerly. I wonder how this would compare to J-31, but the STOVL is a definite advantage to have on aircraft carriers, short runways etc. Similar specs? I assume it would be able to carry more payload?
