China's Demographic Problem?

Chairman Mao , I believe was a lawyer. Modern China is his legacy. I think its pretty smart for man who is not a Math Major.
these days, most of china's leaders carry math heavy degrees in engineering.

i disagree. math is the primary criterion for "smartness"
When I was in university, I met several math major from mainland China. All of them are smart when it comes to calculation and books, but all of them socially awkward as hell. Bottome line, science major does not equal "smartness". You are a dinosaur in this day and age.

Leaders change, so does generation. Next it will be the lawyers and economists' turn.

The funny thing is prostitution is a legal business in China history up until 1949. Culturally speaking, it wasn't shamful to visit a prostitute. Many famous scholars and government officials openly visited such places.

I think as long as it is consensual, it should not be interfere with. However, the industry should be heavily regulated for health reasons, and also taxed.

Prostitution is a vice like any other: drugs, gambling, alcohol, loan sharking and it should be government controlled to protect society. Prostitution is not a victimless crime. Often, the women are forced into it. It should definitely not be legalized in China or anywhere. That said, it's everywhere in the United States.

In Chinese mainland, prostitution is mostly voluntary. Girls do get tricked by promises of going abroad for unskilled labor and then get their passports confiscated by the thugs, but that's going down and the government puts a bullet through these peoples heads.

It should be illegal to organize, recruit, advertise, promote or force prostitution, but prostitution itself should not be illegal.

Yeah I kind of agree with Below and you. The more authorities drive it underground, the more exploitive practices go unchecked. That said I'm not sure I want China to become a sex tourism destination.

As opposed to sex exporter country? With rising incomes, sex tourism should go down like it did in Taiwan. Taiwan used to be a super hot sex tourist destination, now it's less popular than before. And even if not, keeping them in the country lets our police protect them more.
