China will never build a better military than the US; US military most lethal war fighting machine on the planet : General Milley

Yes, I completely agree with his statement.

You can have a fantasy and then make a plan, but fantasy is not reality.

There are many small details that you don't notice but extremely important until you are in the real war.

But for USA, if USA is not engaging in any war for decades, USA will be in the same case as China today.

Today, the world is getting more and more peaceful day by day. Most conflicts are economic conflicts... and life drama.

Basically, both USA and China need to start a small war for "practice".

Choosing small countries to be bullied, finding or creating reasons to start the war or invasion, like how USA did to Iraq (fake WMD).

US senses its demographic collapse. in 2040 US will have minority white population. majority will be brown/black/transgender/pansexual etc. If US is confident, they say nothing. The fact they have to say this shows that they are scared of the inevitable

I see the worst thing today in US is implosion of meritocracy. I am getting feedback that elite US college is shutting doors to the best peasant students, while taking either elites, LGBT, feminazi, Jews or blacks.

Elite College admin is controlled by Jews. I guess these days, Jews are wary of academic rat race from Chinese.

If you do not have the smartest people, you cannot win the civilization competition.

And we have idiots claim they still can build a military better than Chinese? There is a limit to printing money.

Lol. Ancient Greece would dominate. Ghengis Khan will rule the world. Rome is might and the 1000 year Reich are few bs that spring to mind
The Roman Empire lasted for more that 1500 years,if you count Byzantium as well.

Why would China invade itself?
Because they want Taiwan. And Taiwan is not part of the PRC.

Point is that all empire die. All things come to an end. Except God almighty.

That's not even China's game. China just wants a strong enough military to deter a war with the US and still be able to achieve its objectives in Taiwan and protect its interests while it becomes the economic and financial superpower of the world. China never had the intention in building a global military like the US because it is a strain on resources.
China also wants to protect its SLOCs, especially of oil and gas from the Middle East, and the importing and exporting of goods to and from the world.

China’s military doesn’t seem to have aspirations outside of the Indo-Pacific, but does want to achieve qualitative parity by 2049. Similar to the French, they want to build up their civilization so that it endures, without having to be subservient to the US. Retaking historical territory from its zenith under the Qing Dynasty is probably the extent of their territorial aspirations, which would mean they may try to take part of what they consider historical Tibet currently under Indian rule, such as Arunachal Pradeep and Ladakh.

They have studied and have learned the lessons of the Russians follies; The Russian empire, the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation, and will spend on their defense but not overspend at the expense of their economy.

Economics is the key to the global order. Milley knows the US is all set to economically outcompete China in a generation or two at the latest. It’s up to the Chinese to think outside of the box, and develop BRI and catch-up technologically if they have any hope of changing the global order. China’s current course of domestic infrastructure spending won’t be enough, they need to build up friendly nations that can support them and afford to purchase from them. In 2-3 generations, 40-50% of global population is expected to be in Africa. Asia will make up a further 30-40%. There are a lot of poorly governed and poorly managed nations that with the right support could shift global economics in China’s favor.

China has touched some raw nerves these days. :partay:
China is the closest to a strategic competitor the US has had since the US was to Britain in the 19th Century.

If OPEC accepts the Yuan equally as it accepts the Dollar for its oil and gas it would change the entire dynamic.

Currently the US can print nearly 800 billion dollars a year, and inflation and the requirement of nations to buy oil in dollars will even it out. No other nation can do that.

Building up BRI, and securing its periphery with the PLAN may give the Chinese Air Force, navy and army/marines some peacetime experience, if there is no substitute for actual war. Floating sea bases in international waters or LHDs off the coast of various ports they operate maybe the best they could hope to do without building more bases in foreign countries.

There is also the issue of landing platforms. Transport ships, helicopters, transport planes. China‘a ability to move men and materiel across the straits will have to increase dramatically and visibly if they are to have the potential of making good on their desire. If China starts cranking out thousands of landing crafts, hundreds of Z-18s and dozens of Y-20s a year, then the world and Taiwan will start to realize the resolve behind China’s words, and the possibility that China can move when ever it chooses.

There is also the issue of casualties. Many families won’t be able to stomach losing their own children, even if the war is successful. Any invasion will have to be a near certainty of success before it can be executed, therefore the world expects to see China step up more realistic training, such as recruiting foreign veterans of wars (such as Nepalese Gurkhas or ex-French foreign legionnaires) as well as other experts, as it had been doing for the PLAAF.

Also, like the gulf war, China will need a heavy air and rocket bombardment that takes out all ammo dumps, C4ISR, and logistical nodes in a matter of hours, before a mass troop assault within 24 hours of a go order. Rehearsal for such troop movements over the coming year will also be apparent to China watchers.

You can say 100 times but can't change the fact internationally including EU recognised Taiwan is part of China. Until the day Greece warship can along side the port of Taiwan without the permission of PRC.

Taiwan never has its own jurisdiction and is never independent.

China is not Taiwan. Period.

Taiwan is a province of Republic of China. Period.
