China, Vietnam set up naval hotline

yah, this dude has a lot of viet blood on his hands. but then, it is hard to imagine a guy not having directed the massacres of viets in the decade after 1979 rise up so high.

now back to topic, this hotline serves the good function of alerting viets to collect bodies of viets who are caught trespassing on chinese territory and killed and to pay for the cost of chinese bullets.

Up to now, china didn't paid for cost of bullets used in 1979 when PLA soldiers stressed on Vietnam soil.

You sound reasonable today. What´s up with you? no more trolling against Vietnam? :azn:
Seriously speaking, I welcome such news, I just wanted to mock the Chinese a bit.

Which ones, the trolls. Well, you could do a list, but the list could be long :P

Anyway, Manila could use a hotline connecting to Beijing and Hanoi.

You were in bottom, Mongolian, Jerchen, Japanese on top of you.:omghaha:

Not so sure about your statement but under-estimate Canada on your own peril, our historical record that you're bottom of us for millenium is undeniable fact...

Good move by China and Vietnam. Small peaceful moves like these go a long way.

Look at India and Pakistan - despite so much hostility over Indian Occupation of Muslim Kashmir, both countries still exchange list of nuclear sites year-after-year without fail. If they didn't, there would be even more tension over uncertainty and ambiguity regarding civilian nuclear site.

He isn't Canadian, like you he is chinese false flager washing plates in Chinese Restaurant in Canada, but its for sure historical records stated you Chinese Aggressors ran away from Vietnam time to time and Chinese people escaped from famine in China to Vietnam became Hua minority.

Both side know that there are chances of "accidental discharge while polishing the guns".
A hot line can prevent matter to get worse shall such an incident happens.

That's no different with "Sadaejuui 事大主義",
I am so disappointed.

I don´t get your point. Why disappointed?

You are right. A miscalculation or mistake on either side may lead to a confrontation that nobody wants.

The Chinese will be forever on top of you.

Not sure why China and Russia haven´t established such a red telephone. Maybe their relation is not as strained as Japan or Vietnam.

China currently has hotline facilities with India, the U.S., South Korea and Japan. The hotline between India and China is established between the Prime Ministers of the two sides.

Strained? Yes for Tokyo, but not for Hanoi apparently. The relationship between nations is a quite complex thing. You need to know China and Japan against each other not only because of the territory disputes. By the way, it is just amazing to see Japanese prime minister visiting around the world to form an alliance against China. It's just like PLA has already arrived the suburb of Tokyo. That's a really funny and naive politic behavior.

1) A political party's objective is to get/stay in power and govern.
2) The best way to get people's support is to get the people to think that the party is their only hope.
3) By making the people think that they are under threat and that only the party can protect them is one way to go.
4) So disputes are what they needed from time to time and need to be prolonged for the party's benefit.
5) And the people need to be able to see that the party is constantly doing something.
6) Hence the "China is threatening our safety" theory.

Actually nations/person act upon egoistic interests. No suprise. I got a question to all Chinese here:

It sounds unrealistic today, but imagine, after once China and Vietnam reach an agreement in the SC Sea dispute, Vietnam proposes a military alliance with China. Would you agree?

- No, never
- Yes, but...

As long as it is on mutual equal terms and non invasive to other countries (ie: defense only), I have no problem with that.
