Yes this recent fighting is definitely planned and executed by Indian side due to PLA position on LAC. Maybe they are trying to capture another territory to bargain with? That was option before given by some Indian commenters. It may be what Indian military is doing now actually.

No you said India forced China to withdraw. That's how I udnerstood your meaning. This just says India attacked PLA and India should withdraw. Very different from what I udnerstood from you.

This is still not clear. China says India attacked it and India says PLA went too far and India prevented PLA going further into India. But we do not yet really know what is really happening.

It's most likely India army see some lack of PLA presence in this area and went in but this area is still far inside India's claim land but on the line of China's claimed land. So both side consider the other as inside their land when this happened. This explains why CCP says India attacked China whereas India says they prevented PLA. I don't know how they prevent unless PLA is going into India to attack which contradict India's own statement and what CCP said. So more likely the Indian statement of preventing attack is really just preventing PLA from getting that position which CCP considers inside China while India consider inside India.

India may wanted to do this to have better negotiation position for more norther areas.

Sensible post but I think it's impossible to say for sure where the occupation position really are. It could really be PLA far further inside on Indian side and now occupying it's side of the hill at this Chinese claim LAC. Or it could be Indian military going to capture inside Chinese claimed LAC to swap with northern area positions. The difference in LAC is key and causing many issues.

Funny I read other OSINT saying the opposite.

Last time Indian supported OSINT claim 50 1960s PLA generals were killed by IA in 2020 somehow. Busted. Then they claimed with new fake names made up. No one verified the story except just one small US newspaper quoting Indian rumours.

Then Indians supported OSINT claim grave is killed PLA soldier but then was proven to be photoshopped. Then Indians used 2018 Chinese newspaper article photos of gravesite for old PLA soldiers with real names and dates shown (and you can do your own photo analysis). So those are all lies and proven. Now your mystery hidden Ukrainian OSINT says this hmmmmm.
