China-Russia-Saudi Arabia: Globe's Next Superpower

"The smartest man is the one that convinces everyone else that he is the dumbest. The strongest man is the one that convinces everyone else he is the weakest" Chinese proverb.
Yes yes sir i can put up 100 quotes as well..
But can you reply making some sense rather than quoting chinese proverbs?
How is Saudi Arabia important anywhere in the world other than oil?>.<
of course it has a certain degree of importance..every country has but i think putting Saudi Arabia even in a regional power category would be downgrading the meaning of 'regional power'
Like it or not, except in some articles,in real world Saudi Arabia is not so 'hot' as you are depicting

Yeah sure. Saudi Arabia is extremely not important in the world arena at all. Pfft nothing but a desert right??
LoL damn man you seriously need a lot of reviewing to do. Not only are we a regional super-power but we control the price of the petrol in your local gas-station. Not only that but we can easily get into Muslims sentiments. Not only that but we have also established ourselves as the Middle-East's China (Industrially speaking). So when you come just because the word (Super-power) and (India) are not mentioned and starting whining like a little B*** then sir I am sad of your state of affairs.

.
I personally think you have proven yourself to be an idiot of epic proportion by making this post. Why? Because, little Indiot, Middle East is home to 65 per cent of proven global oil reserves and 45 per cent of its natural gas. And Saudi Arabia is the heart of those reserves with the lowest cost to refine them. Now assuming China is the next super power, how on earth can it accomplish that without oil and gas? Surely China isn't planning on using cow dung as an energy substitute to oil and gas.

why are using this word Indiot again and again. this is not acceptable.

.
Natural resource alone cannot turn a country into a regional or super power, there are other factors behind it. SA is definitely a stronger country than most of the countries in the world but it does not in any way qualify to be a super power. In order to be a super power a country requires a strong and diverse economy, a strong industrial base, a self sufficient arms industry and a population of considerable size. SA has neither of these, so its quite immature to view SA as a would be super power; it might be possible to view it as a regional power.

Prabhakar, the definition of again and again implies me using the phrase repeatedly. However, I used it only once in my post. Having said that, I'll take your suggestion into consideration. You need not feel offended.

Bit silly of those of you that are talking about KSA as a super power say like America. But in a grouping they can punch above their weight. Let me put it to you guys. How would America be if Saudi wasn't an ally? What if Saudis and other gulf countries said no to taking the US dollar for their oil?? Get the picture?? America would fall apart

A self-claimed or let's say self-made up state of being regional super power you mean? :woot:

Yeah sure no dollar peg = currency so volatile that no self-respecting company will dare invest in our country. High oil prices = currency so expensive that no company invest because of high labor cost. Low oil prices = Currency so low that we do not have an industrial base to back it up we will starve.

I am sure you can put your feelings aside and recognize that things are not as easy as you make it sound like.

Self-Claimed?? I am sure even Khameni would agree with me on this point. Last time I checked we control the Arab world and soon we will start our own bloc. And yeah we do control the price of oil despite what PressTV says.

.
^^^^ mate don't get above yourself. saudi can be powerful by virtue of oil resources but the bottom line is that with a population of 20 million or so it is virtually impossible for you to have a manufacturing base that would be required to make you a super power per se

Exactly on its own KSA is not and can not and will not be a super power. the most you can hope for is influence a super power or grouping. Like you do with America but not very well cos AIPAC has America sewn up

It's even hard to consider you a regional power in the region if we exclude your oil reserves, let alone a regional super power when Turkey and Iran are in the region. Even if we exclude Iran, Saudi Arabia is simply a joke in comparison to Turkey. Economically, Military, Scientifically, you're nothing in comparison to Turkey. so being a regional super power is only a delusion for you right now. Your military will lose to Turkey, in science you're a joke in comparison to, let's say, even Egypt. Economically only in the last 5 years your economy has been doing fine and that's because of high oil prices. Your GDP growth is really negligible in comparison to Turkey's GDP growth. Let's not talk about a regional super power again or you'll make yourself look ignorant.

About the first part, the USA had Iran as its first ally before the revolution and we all know how that alliance broke easily. If the USA dumps Saudi Arabia, there are still many other countries in the region like Iraq that can compensate for the Saudi oil. It just takes 5 years or so that they build oil refineries and build the necessary infrastructure to drill oil. This is while Saudi Arabia is completely incompetent to make its own oil infrastructure without foreign help. so it's you who is dependent on the USA, not the USA on you.

You don't control the oil prices in the oil market. That's another wrong point you made. We saw how hard you tried to keep the prices low as the USA wanted but you failed in the OPEC meeting twice this year. Venezuela, Iran, Libya(before Ghadhafi gets toppled) and other oil producing nations in the OPEC challenged you completely. Soon Iraq will increase its oil production to more than 5 million barrels per day and the Iran-Venezuela-Iraq bloc will be even stronger in the OPEC.

About Khamenei, he has never said such a thing about Saudi Arabia.

I never said we will be a super-power. I said we are a regional power. we will one day be self-sufficient. Not today but someday.

Well from my earlier posts I believe with wise leaders Saudi can be very influential as a part of a group or as they do at the moment in propping up a super power. Honestly Mossa I have to say to you that Saudis can swing it for example imagine if they were aligned to China as closely as they are to America??? Just imagine

Wrong, wrong and wrong. Who fed you this crap that Lebanon has a stronger scientific base than Saudi Arabia?? because they have fashion shows and beauty pageants?? Our non-oil sector increased more than 13% last year. And why the hell would we go against Turkey?? Turkey is a very good ally of ours we are also military allies as well. We raised the Oil output anyway and the prices came down because we said so not you Libya or Venezuela could do a thing about it. We make our own oil refineries again we even make this refineries for other countries too ECONOMY - Aramco, PetroChina to build 200,000 barrel China refinery

Really Arian I thought you were better than this.
