Veto power means that India will not take any accusation against China to UNSC. It would be a joke as China will veto any accusation. India know that already so it would not do as you suggested.

On the other hand, India need protection from one of the big 5 in UN. Let's say that UNSC rule that Kashmir belong to Pakistan and India must vacate the land or UNSC will take all necessary means to evict India. At that point, India will have no choice but to vacate Kashmir.



Any India/China nuclear war will hurt China. But it will finish India.

What is with India .. will stay with India.. No matter what Chinese leadership does... no matter how much they beat their chest... People o Arunachal are with India... Arunachal is legally a part of India.. there is nothing Chinese Communist Government can do about it. What legal document does china has that can prove that Arunachal was once a part of China?.. all we have is some historical claim... nothing legal.

China is by and large considered a joke. Even in the UN, once the Soviet Ambassador called China - "the court jester of the Western Imperialists."

They haven't been able to take back Taiwan. From 1945 to the 1970s they were not even in the UN - the Chinese seat was with Taiwan and it was only American interests which allowed them in. That's why they take great pride in 1962 - for them conquering some border areas and then running away from them is a sign of a great military victory. Why did you not stay and fight?

Even in 1971 - India captured Pakistani territory in West Pakistan. It held onto it and only returned it after negotiations and after Pakistan had signed an actual Treaty of Surrender - that is a military victory. Here we have China - no war declared, no Surrender Treaty signed, no major town or city captured followed by a unilateral withdrawal. LOL.

Right now.. almost all Chinese neighbors are fed up of this Chinese Advance policy.. creeping up into the border foot at a time and then claiming its Chinese Territory... all in the name of History.. right now its the Chinese who are behaving like colonists everywhere.. sighing Cheques and lending money then claiming ownership of national assets...

It was Nehru's daft policy - he got Indian troops to "advance" with vintage weapons but not fire any shots. China had its own advance policy - if I remember correctly - both sides ended up circling each other.
