China Quietly Abandons Goal of Overtaking U.S. Economy

Chinpak cyber wolves out in full force to put up a china this that banner viz a viz US. Hopefully they will show those banners to the millions of Chinese people who want to escape and migrate to the US given half a chance. (And yes I am aware of the 1400 'scholars' ready to return back to China ....as the noose tightened around what they can and cannot take from US unis r&d).

Not taking credit away from real Chinese scholars and legitimate businesses, but these cyber wolves are sounding shriller by the day and childish.

Chinese still goes abroad to settle in the US as well as in Cambodia, as many Korean and Japanese do. Ethnic Germans still immigrating, for example, to Kazakhstan or South American countries in recent years, as opposite to 2000s when they moved from Kazakhstan/Kyrgyzstan to Germany. North Vietnamese still immigrating to the South.

However, it is much different to Indian illegal immigrating to the US via Mexico or black African to Europe via Mediterranian. One is to seek better life because of too strong competition at home, normally to lower IQ and relatively less competitive countries / regions while the other is to escape famine and deep poverty backhome. One is normally welcome because of their work ethic and skills, while the other,,,

It already is. That is why the US is banning this, that and the other thing to slow China down.
OIC or organization of Islamic Cooperation should China as much as possible in economic and diplomatic means.

Yes, and then we will all be laughing that Americans thought their world uni-polar dominance would last forever.

And then we all laughed "Americans thought like this."

. . . . . .
But trying to interfere in the internal affairs' of Israel is okay? Perfect!
Israel/Palestine is "territorial conflict" according to UN, not China.

Yes, this is also what the media as well.
This Chinese guy is right. The Chinese economy is ALREADY larger than USA.

Haha, Americans thought like this about their uni-polar moment.

According to IMF

It is common for politicians and pundit types to speculate on when or whether China’s economy will pass the US economy as the world’s largest. The latest episode to cross my path was a column by David Wallace in the New York Times.
There is little reason for this sort of speculation. China is already the world’s largest economy, its economy is more than 20 percent larger than the US economy, according to the IMF. Furthermore, it is growing considerably more rapidly (assuming they don’t continue their zero COVID-19 policy forever), so it is projected to be more than a third larger than the US economy by the end of the decade.
Here’s the picture.

Many people misunderstand the relative sizes of the two economies because they rely on exchange rate measures of GDP. These measures a country’s GDP and then compare it to the US GDP by converting its currency into dollars at the current exchange rate.
Most economists argue that a purchasing power parity measure of GDP is superior. This applies a common set of prices to the goods and services produced in different countries. Any measure like this will always be inaccurate, but in principle it is comparing apples to apples. We assume that tables sell for $500 everywhere, that shoes sell for $60, etc.
Using the purchasing power parity measure, China’s GDP passed the US GDP around 2014. Since then it has made the gap larger.
Some folks seem to find it hard to accept that the US does not have the world’s largest economy, but such is life. Donald Trump lost the election and the US is number 2.

Yes, but I was referring to Arabs in Israel as citizens. I did not even mention the word Palestine.
What you are mentioning is irrelevant.

Is Israel and Palestine a territorial conflict, yes it is.

Is Western China of Xinjiang a disputed territory according to United Nations. No its not.

Thus it is China's internal affairs.

How China treats its Uighur citizens is internal affairs. But how Israel treats its Arab citizens is not. Got it. :D

Israel is not a legitimate state unless two state solution is implemented. The murderous land stealing Israel is valid. Got it, by your flawed logic and reasoning. :D

How do you know how china works?

And are you so sure that’s how the US works? The media prevents a discussion on most core issues. When was the last time there was an honest discussion about the damage our oligarchs are causing to society through their total grip on power?
there is plenty of discussion about oligarchs. the real question is what needs to be done about them

Israel is not a legitimate state, but Taiwan is not. Got it again! :D

How incredibly convenient is your hypocrisy, for everyone to see.

Congratulations to China!

Did China steal someone else's land.

Israel stole land from the Palestinians, you dolt. :D

Besides that, Taiwan used to be part of China during the Qing dynasty.
