very impressive quick response. in China you can really count on those soldiers to come rescue you in such disasters. in Hurricane Katrina, the US soldiers were only responsible for keeping people from looting the stores and killing each other.

suggestion to defence.pk: can we have a smilie for candles?

Katrina is an example of how to not operate, but it is not an example of disaster relief in the US as a whole by any means.

To me, disaster relief in the states means one thing: you are on your own. That's why I buy insurance and stock things up, instead of counting on the government.

4.21 9:45am a PLA team from PLA Cheng Du 13th Army walked into Ya An city, Bao Xin county (the last county ever lost communications in earthquake)

But due to quake destroyed communication base stations and cut off electric power, still can't contact with around 1x town and 3x village: Long Dong town, Wu Long village, Ming Li village, Yong Fu village

Si Chuan government released current roads situtation of disaster area

The ministry of public security of China released news suggested companies and individuals do not drive into disaster areas to send goods coz many private cars blocked local transportations and rescure cars coming.

Traffic department of SiChuan government only allow rescure cars into disaster areas / 四川省交通部门下令：除救援外所有车辆禁入灾区

中广网雅安4月21日消息 据中国之声报道，四川省一级交通部门下达命令，要求除救援之外的所有其他车辆停止进入，留下生命通道供医疗救援队伍，包括各类物资运输车辆进入也被停止。
