I did not mean to suggest that China is the reason for India Pakistan conflict. That would just be silly! The conflict makes Pakistan a useful tool for the Chinese to deal with their Indian problem. It would be most advantageous for the Chinese to have this conflict continue indefinitely. It is like having a cat in the neighborhood to take care of rodent problem.

This is not very different from how US would like to use India against China. But India is not as useful to US as Pakistan has been to China thus far.

Agree with everything except the last line. The Sino-Indian relationship has not depreciated because the Indian side has gone out of its way to keep the boat afloat. India does not want an open conflict with a potential superpower until its own economy can weather the storm.
