modern DDG's classification can be blurr, as more and more FFG are getting bigger and heavier, and their roles and capabilities are more or less similiar with each other. So there isn't any sort of guildlines when it comes to classification of those warships. UK's Type 42 DDG is only around 4000 tonnes while the same 4000 tonnes US Oliver Hazard Perry is classified as FFG.

The price of the frigate is likely to come in at anywhere fom 300-400 million dollars.

It is likely to be as capable as any Western frigate which would most probably cost upwards of 600 million dollars so it would represent very good value for money.

You really can't say that. You don't know what a "good" ship means. In terms of what ? survivability ? range? reach? sea rolling? weapon upgrade capability ? weapon configuration? maintenance ? expected service life? crew size? logistic support ?

Again, it shouldn't be classified as DDG, itself is based on Type 054B FFG.
