If it was a real revolution they would not have needed the extensive nato help and it wouldnt have taken 6 months. look at hazare did he need americans to come into india to help him?

Gaddafi is a criminal. He killed unarmed protesters. There are videos of this.
The UK unrest is criminal, they smashed up shops and looted them. They did not demand anything. Besides the UK police did not kill them.
The UK probably went in for a number of reasons:
To protect the oil it buys from Libya.
Because it was the right thing to do in terms of stopping a mad dictator.

We already buy oil from Libya so why would it be stealing for us to get those contracts back again?

Hazare was not trying to overthrow the Indian government. And GOI was not shooting down civillians ! Nato only facilitated what Libyan rebels set out to achieve.

i wouldnt call it an embaressment, we didnt support gadafi nor did we support the rebels we were neutral, if anything it is just a business deal that didnt materialise, and libya is not the only country with oil , we can easily get those some where else
