But if the missile is intercepted by our own missile defence system, then doesn't that mean the missile is not good enough to penetrate foreign missile defences?

The HGV is theoretically impossible to intercept, since it has the unpredictable trajectory.

If our GMD can intercept our HGV, then it will be ready to intercept anything else on this planet.
