China is forcing women to be sterilised or fitted with contraceptive devices in Xinjiang in an apparent attempt to limit the population of Muslim Uighurs, according to new research.
The report, by China scholar Adrian Zenz, has prompted international calls for the United Nations to investigate.
China denies the allegations in the report, calling them "baseless".
The state is already facing widespread criticism for holding Uighurs in detention camps.
It is believed there are about one million Uighur people and other mostly-Muslim minorities detained in China, in what the state defines as "re-education" camps.

Birth control is not new in China.

.
There are gigantic red flags in that study, from the guy who did it, the foundation who sponsor and worst of all the methodology they used.
China Birth policies only apply to Han Chinese and never been applied to minority groups.

The birth control policies applied to the Han in the late 1970s has now been applied to the Uyghurs ... not surprising. All are Chinese after all and should be subject to the same policies, including birth control.

Han family in Xinjiang averagely has one child each family and Uighur family averagely has over 3 children. in 2014, Xinjiang had 635,687 new borns, 14.6% were Han Chinese, 85% were minorities, mainly Uighurs.

China's birth contol policy was only imposed on Han Chinese, not on minorities.
Western media better accuses China of persecuting Han Chinese , that'll be much more tenable statistically.

Uighur population growth 19.88%, Han population growth:2.03%

China has one child policy for every citizen regardless what religion or race they are.
from wikipedia:
The policy also allowed exceptions for some other groups, including ethnic minorities. Thus, the term "one-child policy" has been called a "misnomer", because for nearly 30 of the 36 years that it existed (1979–2015), about half of all parents in China were allowed to have a second child.[5][6][7]
