China Doesn't Belong in the BRICS

There are just way too many Indian articles and interviews about China. The whole Indian press is obsess with China instead of its own issues.

since when does press is equivalent to govt ??and ofcourse there will be articles .we're neighbors and press will have interest in a powerful neighbor like china with whom we fought a war and still have boarder disputes.some decisions taken by china might have a direct or indirect effect on india..dont u watch news in u.s??and dont they speak about any other country in the news other than u.s??grow up

US has major relationships with China. But American press is not smitten by China. The bigger international news here is related to Israel and middle East. But even that, its not to the level of India's obsession with China. Its ok to have healthy comparisons. But this obsessive behavior really sell papers and gain viewers in India?

It seems you (and some more like you) are obsessed about the supposed Indian obsession with China.

There are so many other new on our hundreds of news channels and in our hundreds of newspapers. Even an odd one in each of them about China will seem like too much if you aggregate them and focus only on them.

For us, they are but one news item (mostly uninteresting for most folks) out of the hundreds of news items.

when is the last time u.s and china fought a war and have boarder disputes?.what is the nearest distance between china and u.s??besides u.s is stronger china hence they dont bother much.as far trade is concerned china is the largest trading partner of india. and why is it that u find fault with indian media when u urself stated that u.s media concentrates on israel and middle east.just because u find some vedios on china doesnt mean that our media is obsessed with it.we have bigger things to worry than china.

Two most important thing that makes a country powerful is GDP and MILITARY TECHNOLOGY.... If China Dont belong in BRICS due to Superior GDP than China dont belong in BRICS due to cheap low junk military technology.... india, Russia, Brazil all are ahead of china in military technology.... It doesnt matter if all import military weapons.... China too import it but they get junk compared to other Brics nations....

powerful GDP = powerful economy
powerful economy = powerful military
powerful military = no one dare to mess with china
no one dare to mess with china = peace of the world

India will catch up with China eventually how? care to give some credible numbers

GDP(Nominal)- China---------India
$0.5 Trillion---1994---------2002
$1 Trillion-----1998---------2007
$2 Trillion-----2005---------2013[E]

Really, genius?

If you tell your bank that

1. you 'll borrow 1 million USD from it today

2. And you'll return 1 million USD 8-9 years, or 30 years, later.

Your bank will tell you to f#$% off.

India will catch up with China in about AD 8965, IF with all the luck you'll get from Rat God.

Nonsense!

BRICS is where China belongs。

So this is how you were taught economics and finance in Indian schools?

Are you saying that India will become an 8.5 trillion dollar economy in 8-9 years now that it is growing at some 5% annually?:woot:

5% growth is the real growth
growth in gdp = real growth + inflation

India became $1tn in 2009 and $2tn in 2013(E); doest it mean that India grew at 19% [ $1tn(1.19)^4=$2Tn)]
Get your basics right before pointing figer at others

We have doubled GDP in last 4 years, So It is possible to reach $8tn during first half of next decade
