US President Barack Obama was quoted recently as telling a secret meeting in the Oval Office, "We need to make clear to people that the cancer is in Pakistan."

But in the eyes of the Chinese people, Pakistan is a pearl. The Chinese people treasure the great friendship between the two countries.

On National Day, an elementary school in Gongyi city, Henan Province organized a fundraiser for the flood victims in Pakistan. The school principal sent a cheque of 1,506 yuan ($220) to Pakistan's ambassador to China, Masood Khan, in the letter he wrote that he had been moved by Pakistan's support and contributions around the Sichuan earthquake.

As a journalism educator, I was deeply touched by this, which reminded me of my own experiences as a student.

I was 11 years old when my mother took me to see a doctor one day in 1971.

Sitting next to the doctor, I saw a copy of Reference News newspaper lying on his table. The lead story on the front page was about the Pakistani army fighting the Indian forces in what was then East Pakistan.

I was particularly attracted by the stories of how the Pakistani soldiers were using China-made tanks, guns and AK 47s in their fighting. From that moment, I decided to become a journalist when I grew up.

When we left the hospital, my mother went to a post office and subscribed to the Reference News for me.

In 1991, 20 years after the Pakistani army lost the war and Bangladesh, with Indian support, became an independent nation, I was on the road to Mohenjodaro and Kandarara with the late Pakistani archaeologist Husaan Dani reporting the great Pakistan civilization and its impact on China.

Almost another 20 years had passed when I went back to Pakistan early this year, where I felt overwhelmingly that many Pakistani people love China more than Chinese love their own country. Pakistan has proved to be China's closest friend and the only political and military ally to stay consistent in all weathers.
China owes its opening-up to the outside world to Pakistan.

As a leader in the Islamic world, Pakistan helped connect China to the Arab countries and the rest of the Islamic world. For example, after the Urumqi riots in 2009, Pakistani government made great efforts in explaining to the rest of the Islamic world the Chinese viewpoint on the riots.

In 1971, Pakistan helped make the arrangements for Henry Kissinger's secret visit to China and Nixon's subsequent trip.

In 1987 when I was a journalist, I reported the visit by Abdus Salam, the father of Pakistan nuclear science. During Salam's visit, he met Deng Xiaoping. During the meeting Deng Xiaoping expressed his full support of Salam's idea of strengthening the scientific and technological ties among the third world countries.

Deng told Salam that scientists from the third world countries should feel self-confident and proud in serving their own countries with their scientific achievements.

I am always proud of the Pakistani scientists' achievements. I deeply admire Pakistani scientist and engineers for their hard work and talents in developing their country's science and technology.

Like China, Pakistan is a developing country. But its people and the government give full support to its science and technology program even though people live in poverty.

Because Pakistan has strong defense science and technology, China feels very safe and peaceful in its frontier regions like Xinjiang and Tibet. There will be absolutely no stability in Xinjiang and Tibet without the solid brotherhood of Pakistan.

Pakistan is at the crossroads of the legendary Silk Road between China and the West. I understand that Obama has his own agendas in Afghanistan.

But I believe that any military policies and actions taking place in this region must serve the interests of the national security, national unity, social stability, economic development and regional cooperation among the three countries: Pakistan, China and Afghanistan.

Sino-Pakistani links stay solid in all weathers - GlobalTimes

What about other Chinese brothers? North Korea and Myanmar. Why nobody is speaking about them. They might get hurt.

hahaha burn indians burn?! looooool
Not at all. If sino-pak friendship helps asia [development in pak] then why should we burn?! loool You give me jokes. Are you stand up comedian or summin??
We look to have that kind of friendship with both the countries one day as well. :)
PEACE!

There is no reason for Indians to feel jealousy about Sino-Pak friendship.

If Chinese friendship is the foremost thing in the world then North Korea and Myanmar would be richest nations in the world.

The reality is opposite. What matters is the relationship with the rest of the world. If Pakistan manages to pull of Pak-World friendship to the level of India-World, then there is some reason for Indian Jealousy.

Instead of feeling jealous, we Indians are getting amused about the Pakistanis naivety in believe their friendship with China will solve all their problem. They just forget the examples of NK and Myanmar.

I'm not optimistic about that. Not at all.

haha. I've heard that you used to be a pro indo-sino friendship as well. But this forum changed you cuz of 1-2 encounters with blinded indians with patriotism. Bruv, believe me you what some indians on this forum think has no credibility. As below_freezing said earlier there are 20% bad and 80% good on both sides but those 20% look other 80% bad. And on top of that those 80% love their respective country as well so can't hear ill of it hence, they're here.

Anyways, go on indiandefence.com that's like new forum. Not like bharat rakshak. Martian and siegecrossbow are also there. You'd know what MAJORITY of indians think about china and chinese people. Might help you restore your opinion for indians. :)

This great friendship might not solve all of Pakistan's problems but Pakistan has a lot to gain from China's friendship. Both Pakistan and China need each other.

Who cares what some uncivilised terrorists(+racists) think of us,as long as you guys dont strap a bomb around body and blast yourself up in my neighbourhood..I'm here to have fun and i'm having it..

Pakistani's are not uncivilized, racist terrorists.

Thanks for the advice, but I've seen that forum, and it didn't leave a good impression either.

Just to clarify, having a problem with India, is not the same thing as having a problem with Indian people.

Are you saying that india has the world top poverty rate is bcz your great friend russia?

Do you know why Bhutan does not have an army or airforce? Its because they have enough relationship with us to trust their security with us.Can you go to any of your brotherly nation without passport or visa? They will duely deport you back no matter how much you cry " brother...brother".But we can travel to Nepal, our another friendly nation without even passport! Our army general have the rank of honorary general there..Maldives,our another neighbor have extremely good relationship with up and we had helped them everytime they had any crisis..After we started having good relationship with Russia and Israel had helped us in times of need.

oh ye i remember that Sikkim was a country once up on a time
plus let me remind you something
in 2005 both china and indian sign an agreement to confirm the border of sikkim as a state of indian and tibet as a state of china
now day we still see indians point finger on tibet and talk rubbish...
what a joke:rofl:

@xukxuk
Did he even mention Tibet or Sikkim in his post?

Did anyone remember something I have said about it before, Indians never take their government's official statement seriously, because GOI's official statements are just piles of sh!t. Never debate with Indians by quoting their offcial stances.

If GOI's statements are piles of sh!t,Then why is China buying Indian piles of sh!t by accepting Sikkim as part of India?

Well, I guess I should say it is because CCP is stupid.

But for whatever reason Chinese government accepted Sikkim as part of India, Chinese members here are abiding by that official stance.

However, you Indians are keeping on saying something that doesn't consist with your official stance. So tell me why are you guys doing this, if it is not because you people think GOI's official statements are piles of sh!t.

Enlighten us on the level of India-World.

Well, I guess I should say it is because CCP is stupid.

Are you really a CCP member?
Not the fact, that you can't criticize your Govt, but i thought all CCP members firmly believed in their party/Govt.

But for whatever reason Chinese government accepted Sikkim as part of India, Chinese members here are abiding by that official stance.

That is good on their part.

How is that a small ill-informed bunch become representative of an entire nation?
The Indians whose statements aren't convergent with the official stance are probably kids or people who are oblivious about it.
