A country where a COAS, a grade 22 officer is given that much importance has no importance in the world.

In civilized world, Army is an organ of the state and not a separate entity and it is suppose to complement the government and to not fight agaisnt it. If the Army starts forcing itself as a hegemon, a separate entity superior to the civilian govt., the country ceases to be a vibrant democracy and remains a third world country forever.

A war with the civilians can never be won by the Army, it would be a total loss to both and the ultimate sufferer would be the country.

Not to forget that foreigners understand very well that the visiting person has overstepped his role illegally and treat him as such. They will only offer short term low risk benefits knowing the country will backtrack on its commitments one day when the new illegal takes over.
Then these idiots wonder why Pakistan is considered un-reliable by its partners.
