CFO of Chinese tech giant Huawei arrested in Vancouver, sought by U.S. for extradition

LOL! The Shanghai composite is at 2,609
It was at 2,675 in Dec 2006.

When it comes to bending over the Chinese know how to take it the best.

Don't worry about Shanghai Composite, it's a place for gambling, not investment. Unlike Dow Jones, Shanghai Composite doesn't affect China economy a lot. As only a small number of Chinese companies sell the share there.

But at the same time, the fall of Dow Jones is also not good for China, as many Chinese giants are there.

Chinese sources have assembled the following facts:

• April 2017: A director of Chinese tech giant Huawei personally escorts famed Shanghai-born physicist Zhang Shoucheng from the latter’s hotel in Shenzhen. Jackson & Wood Professor of Physics at Stanford University, Zhang was in town to attend an IT summit.

• Sept. 2018: Prof. Zhang receives a European physics award, one of his many honors. His work in quantum physics is expected to revolutionize the global semiconductor industry. Yang Zhenning, the first Chinese scientist to receive the Nobel Physics Prize (1957), had predicted that Zhang would be the next one.

• Dec. 1, 2018: Prof. Zhang and Meng Wanzhou are expected to attend a dinner in Argentina, where the G20 summit is being held.

• Dec. 1, 2018: On her way there, Meng is arrested in transit by the Canadian government.

• Dec. 1, 2018: Prof. Zhang falls to his death from a building in the US, allegedly a suicide. Said to be suffering from depression, he was 55.

Dec. 1, 2018: A nighttime fire breaks out at a factory of Holland’s ASML, the world’s leading manufacturer of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography technology. EUV is crucial to the production of the next generation of semi-conductors, which US and Chinese tech firms as well as Korea’s Samsung are competing to be first to bring to market. Leading Chinese semiconductor producer SMIC is known to have ordered EUV technology worth US$120 million from ASML, for scheduled delivery early in 2019. After the fire, ASML announced that it expected delays in shipments of its products, notably early 2019.

Even his own family says it had nothing to do with politics.
Plus nobody is saying he jumped off a building. He seems to have killed himself inside his living area as his family isn't saying how. So it sounds like he drank something. Not like he was found outside at the bottom of a building with a whole bunch of witnesses.

This is a naked kidnapping

The U S is starting to feel like it can't afford to play this game, so they're using sleazy tactics.

You guys kidnapped the Interpol leader and you say its okay.

You think his family are liars?

US-China tensions played no part in death of renowned Stanford professor Zhang Shoucheng, family says

"...Zhang died on Saturday, December 1, according to his family. He was 55.

“There is no police investigation, and the authorities have no suspicions about Professor Zhang’s death,” a representative for the family said. “You will read that he committed suicide, and this is true. But you will also read in the family statement that he had periodic bouts with depression.”

Many rumours circulated on Chinese social media about his death, some trying to build links between his death to a possible US government investigatio
n under Section 301 of US trade law into Zhang’s Danhua Capital and even stretching to connect it to the arrest of Huawei’s CFO Meng Wanzhou on the same day..."

All that is left to do is wait for the upcoming US economic crisis and be prepared for it. The US economy has a proven track record of crashing approximately every 10 years. Well it's been 10 years since the last time. The down turn in US markets isn't only due to the Sino-US trade war. Another worrying thing is that the treasure bonds for longer periods like five or ten years are now seen as more and more unstable compared to those for two years etc, which means that investors are genuinely worried about an economic crisis in the couple of years ahead. Every economic crisis in the US has been preceded by that. So buckle up, everything signals that we're not far from it. China must be able to seize the moment this time.
