Perfect my type of fourm anyways can a Turk help me find ways to learn the language

Guys I going back to my motherland in Dec/Jan as my Uni is closed and I am spending some time in your country and I have friends living there too as some of them study here in the States I spending like two weeks there between Istanbul and Izmir any suggest to see what spots I mean not tourist heavy spots like small towns or areas that I can meet locals and have authenthic food
