I dont know why but it reminds me of The Jewel of the Nile movie :D :D :D
It reminds me of this :D :D :D (no offense)

Erdogan might be conservative but he hasnt brought a single religious law in 15 years and even defended the secular system of Turkey on some occasions, gülen openly exposed his aim for a theocratic state, Erdogan on the other hand might be authoritarian but i dont believe he is aiming for theocracy.
Or may be Erdogan is misunderstood by the world like Modi?
I find some similarities in the two, like both are authoritarian, centre rightist (?), yet secular in approach.

I heard Russia had warned Erdogan about the coup.true?
Could you extrapolate what would have happened if Gulen guy had taken over?
Btw is there any proof against Gulen?

. .
guys have very simple question where does this gulanist bring their money
Preperation schools (dersaneler) in Turkey mostly were owned by Gulen groups (like Serhat dersaneleri). Millions of people paid immense amount of money to the schools. Interestingly enough they went berserk especially after the closure of the prepeartion schools

Or may be Erdogan is misunderstood by the world like Modi?
He is not misunderstood, he is purposefully demonized in the mainstream Western media because shortly he pursues independent policies and agressively expands Turkish sphere of influence plus economic miracle --> just like Modi. Paying off the IMF debt, leveraging the EU over Syrian refugees and so on. The moment Turkey dictates its own domestic and foreign policies, and begins flexing its muscle plus influencing its immediate proximity is the very moment Turkey is deemed a threat to the established world order.

The Gulen group was being used by CIA and the USA to destabilize the country. In Europe and America the Gulen group's media (Zaman, Today's Zaman etc) nonstop pumps anti-AKP anti-Erdogan narrative because CIA is interested in toppling Erdogan. Since they can't do it democratically every other road is pursued

I think Russia would be more than happy when Erdogan was gone that day, Putin has many colliding interest with Erdogan, Syria alone is reson enough but also energy policy.

Gülen himself never made a secret about his ambitions towards theocracy, his people replaced secular officials from military with their own people a couple years ago since military was the biggest obstacle against his ambitions.

About proof some soldiers confessed their links and told that they have been directed to military academy by gülen people on purpose.
More and more people tell about their experinces about how gülen people forced them to give up their career in academies with different methods like blackmailing, physical and pschological abuses etc.etc.
@Neptune was among those, he had to leave naval academy, he has real inside knowlegde about the situation.

They wanted this girl to jump from 3. floor of the academy because they thought she wasnt ''mallable'', they said its better she commits suicide because she wouldnt come far in the academy anyway, not to mention the numerous humiliations that a woman can barely withstand, she eventually gave up her carreer.

Guys, this is random :)

If you lot have small images that you want to enlarge with minimal loss in quality I would suggest this website - http://waifu2x.udp.jp/index.tr.html

Here's an example of what it can achieve -

Oh!
I remember @Neptune had joined the academy.
What went wrong?

she eventually gave up her carreer.
Unfortunate!

So the Gulen guy has western support?
Even if he does I would not be surprised. From OBL to ISIS, everything is their creation.

I forgot to add this in my previous post.
There could be a reason why Putin helped Erdogan or informed him about the coup in advance. Come to think of it, right now Turkey is one of the main contributors to NATO.
Russia has lots of reasons to help Erdogan, one being NATO and second, his deadlock with West.
I heard that your deputy PM Simsek (?) went out of his way to thank Russia for supporting Erdogan during the failed coup. So, its possible that after the recent turn of events Erdogan might rethink on his international partnerships.
Anyways, lets see how Erdogan and Putin's meeting on Aug 9th turns out to be.
My personal opinion is that Russia and Turkey can solve the Syria issue among themselves.
