There are not much historical stuff in Ankara :) you can go to Aegean region and visit Ancient ruins, for example Ephesus, such ruins are stretching from North Aegean to Mediterranean region, plus good sea and nature.

Anitkabir is just 60 years old, though it also has a museum which makes it interesting from historical perspective.
