I don't know about Constitution, etc but Centre has more power than States and it may overrule decisions that States take. You can't give too much independence to any state otherwise it will become dangerous for the country.

Indias entire population is an open enemy of Pak. The recent unfortunate incident in Nanakanasahib has brought out the true colours of Sikhs who have made outrages comments and statements calling for a war, and calling to imvade Pak Punjab. I understand they are angry and the main culprit responsible should be punished but to start abusing and holding every Pakistani responsible is not acceptable.

Union can legislate on state subjects if Rajya sabha passes a resolution to that effect.

Or if two or more states passes resolution asking the centre to legislate on a state subject.

Or if emergency is imposed, Parliament takes over entire legislation of that state.

Per Indian constitution, states are strictly subordinates.

Why is an Indian Muslim being patriotic to India a problem to Pakistan? I won't have any problem if Pakistani Hindus/Christians/Sikhs are patriotic to Pakistan.
