Just took one unknown so called Islamic party to get you guys riled up. Instead of intellectually stating how it is illogical and unislamic, everybody started mullah bashing and political point scoring.

That would be the ideal solution but our laws and their implementation are a joke. If government was serious in eradicating religious fundamentalism and extremism, the first thing they would do was to get rid of the clowns in Red Mosque, instead they are still operating with impunity.

Won't be surprised if one day thekedars of Islam will force the Gov to actually make it a law.

Isnt there already a law that prohibits eating in ramadhan for muslims, sure my fasting is so weak that if I see some one eating while I am fasting I might get hungry. We have little to no understanding of what was the purpose of fasting and other religious practices, all we are interested in jingoism associated with religious rituals.

Can you blame us? It is the mullah and his wahabi brand of Islam that have created most of our problems. Their myopic view of religion where they are the sole interpreter of religion and everyone who dares to question should be lynched. Even after paying such a heavy price and still paying for religious fundamentalism and extremist it seems this nation havent learned a single thing.

this guy is a barelvi/sufi brand molvi. its not just about a particular sect..Each sect in Pakistan has its extreme elements whether it be shia, sunni or salafi. most of them are running and generating revenue by fueling this conflict and hate speech; they have their foreign donors and supporters sitting in govt. These people are then used by their respective political party to huddle people together to occupy a land or rig election or work with some mafia, take out some one etc etc.the important thing is they are fringe elements yet they have control over masses and clergymen from their sect as they have keys to the piggy bank funds which are used to run their mosques and pay its electricity bill.

Not having these laws will encourage people and groups to take law in there own hand and do it on there own. Secondly both laws are according to Islam those who have issue can go and live in west. As for this Molvi well his suggestion doesn't matter. Public eating in Ramadan is a offence and Government needs to give some punishment but there is death punishment here.

What ? Buddy please do quote from wherever you got the info that eating in ramzan is a punishable offense in Islam. Unless following middle eastern states law is part of Islam now im not aware of any such ruling. Even if there is it needs to be repeated a thousand times over that our country is not in Sharia law and it never will be.

Sorry I dont agree with your talabnistic version of Islam and I will live in this country, why dont you take your boriya bistra and move to 1000 years back in history, since no one can dare challenge your interpretation of religion.
