As a islamic country it is only right that the death penalty is imposed for fast breakers in Pakistan.

Pakistan is a sacred place where prices go up during ramazan, so much so that every trader involved is earning high amounts of profit (read interest), swearing popular pastime especially when Pakistanis are fasting in months like June, hardly a smiling face on roads and streets all of us look like as if we are undergoing some torture ...... We dont interfere with other countries rules.
Pakistan is 1st country formed in name of islam . If you dont have sharia here where will you have it ? In sri lanka ?

Pakistan was made to implement Islam ... Yes .... but not this persianised ajmi Islam and Pakistan is not the first country formed in name of Islam (it's hardly 70 years old)... and for your information there is no punishment mentioned in Quran for breaking fast ..... however, how to compensate for the breach is there.

First whosoever that guy is who wrote that letter he doesn't count when it comes to legislation, second there is no room for capital punishment in this case, third you did not notice that when someone writes a letter he signs and stamps it. And more importantly, the book he is "claiming" to quote from (i.e. Dur e Mukhtar) is a very famous Sunni (hanafi) fiqh book, and the Shariah Bench/Federal Shariat Court does recognize "Dur e Mukhtar" as an agreed upon Sunni Fiqh book .. ....

THE CAPITAL PUNISHMENT!!!!WTF!!!! Even without the Capital penalty its a draconian law no debate needed, it goes against the very essence of fasting which is to endure human urges, maybe this can be implemented on muslims with a minor punishment attached( to ensure the right direction of muslims by the state for their own benefit in aakhrat like a parent does to a child) but under no circumstances does islam allows this law to be forced upon non muslims. This is perfect example of human ego at play nothing else...the classic case of herd mentality and supremacy of majority rather than justice...
