Canadian teacher tells Muslim kids who skip LGBTQ Pride events, "You aren't Canadian" and "You don't belong here".

.
I still believe Karens should be given the liberty and freedom to decide if they want to get enrolled in anger management courses. Mansur can take that class.

As overblown as the whole LGBTQ thingamajig is, the right for two consenting individuals above the age of majority is enshrined within our values, as is respecting the right of every individual to believe and deify the sky daddy of their choice. So the students were well within their right to not show support for a marginalized community despite the whole school coming together for them to celebrate Ramadan, and the teacher is well within her right to give her opinion.

And a distinction must be made here...she did not say that if you're Muslim, you do not belong here, only that if you're a cunt with intolerant values that espouses harm (of any kind) to a person/group of people based on their sexual orientation/gender/race/age/*sigh* religion, you should probably stop clogging up our housing market and social benefits programs, GTFO and don't let the door hit your medieval *** on the way out.

That being said, I think the students were beyond stupid for skipping school just because LGBTQs make them uncomfortable. FFS calculus kicked my *** in high school but I did not skip classes because I was "uncomfortable".

1) it’s not part of Canadian culture Canada since the 1970's and since Turdeau Sr. would disagree with that statement and it's also constitutionally protected since the mid 90's, so 30 years later loving whoever the flip you want as long as they are of legal age is very much part of our culture.

2) Canada belongs to First Nations indigenous people so European should gtfo with their lgbtq as well. Every race has been a right cunt to others since and before recorded history. Do you propose we all bugger off to Africa?

3) Canadian involvement in the invasion and bombardment of many Muslims countries means Muslims can live in Canada however they want since Canada supported their homelands getting destroyed. That's not how immigration works, but fun fact; that's how entitlement and rabid mentality that only one set of people have been victimized overruling everyone else works.

4) even if it was Canadian culture we still wouldn’t leave nor accept it. We would fight back. The world belongs to Allah and everything is Allah’s land. If Canada turned against its citizens and oppressed them and forced them to be lgbtq we would fight and liberate Canada from such cancerous ideologies. Why the heck did you immigrate here when our shared values and culture are antithetical to your existence? And no one is forcing you to "be lgbtq", you're pulling impossibilities out of thin air to fit your "victim narrative". I will repeat, NO one is asking you to become part of accepting LGBTQ individuals as normal in everyday Canadian society, but what IS expected that they be allowed to live with the same rights and freedoms as every other Canadian without worrying about harm the thousands of fundamentalist thundercunts still in this country will do to them.

I am pretty sure nobody demanded the school celebrate Ramadan together. If there was a school celebration for it, anybody who didn't want to join has the God given right not to.

I did mention that the students had the right not to show support, however the teacher had the same right to lambast them without being judged a bigot. They could have all held a festival to celebrate the fall of Rome for all I care, but I am calling BS when her words are twisted around to seem her opinion is "racist" and "demeaning".

And shame on the school management for throwing their staff under the bus. No wonder Alberta cant retain teachers on top of having its education system designed by the United Conservative Party.

Eventually, promotion of LGBTQ will hurt families and societies as it is at odds with nature. There will be a cost. An example of unchecked liberalism below.

No, she has no right to persecute students telling them they don't belong because they didn't celebrate someone's homosexuality. Get a grip man.

What do you make of her telling the kid he doesn't "belong here" and that he isn't "Canadian"?

Are the conservatives in Canada, who don't support LGBTQ also not Canadian?

It is outrageous when she tells the Muslim students that they do not belong in Canada. That’s vicious racism. Read the comments on Twitter. Most people are condemning the teacher.

Muslims are in an awkward situation. On the one hand, as immigrants, they mostly vote for leftist parties like Liberals in Canada. But on the other hand it is the Liberals who’re shoving LGBTQ down everyone’s throats.

Therefore, in the future Muslims are more likely to vote for the Conservative Party. I used to vote for Trudeau, but never again.

I sort of agree. I am starting to believe the conservative parties suit Muslims better as they still have some Christian values which are not in conflict with Islamic values. Also, I am sick of the leftists diluting criminal laws, effectively a slap on the wrist for vicious crimes. They are also behaving like communists, imposing ridiculous taxes on the simple middle income people labeling them as wealthy, we have a communist here in the state of Victoria in Australia.

I doubt western people will actually care about that. One of the greatest problems of homosexuality is the far higher rate of HIV infection, even such a serious health issue didn't deter them.

This is the exact ideology Russia is fighting over. It doesn't want this sort of degeneracy infiltrating into it's society via the drag queen High heel wearing clown of Kiev. Men and Women know their place in society there and follow the orthodox teachings the West is desperately trying to eradicate.
Putin has recently passed or will soon pass a low banning the changing of an individuals body just because they "feel" a certain way.

She is not "prosecuting" anyone, certainly not on the basis of race. She is certainly guilty of voicing her opinion, and far more hysterical than a teacher should be, but the point i was trying to make is that the students had as much right to skip as the teacher had to give her opinion based on her understanding of Canadian values. Everyone had the right to do what they did. Now if she gave them demerit points or failed them, then yes that could be construed as persecution based on personal opinion but that is not the case here.

Since there is still speculation on the content, I would encourage you to listen to the audio one more time or refer to transcriptions available.

What I clearly heard and have read is

“It goes two ways! If you want to be respected for who you are, if you don’t want to suffer prejudice for you who are, your religion, your colour of skin, your…whatever, then you’d better give it back to people who are different from you. That’s how it works, it is an exchange. And it’s not like that in all countries.

As I told you, in Uganda, if they think you’re gay, they’ll execute you. And if you believe in that kind of thing, *then you don’t belong here*. Because that is not what Canada believes.

We believe in freedom, we believe that people can marry whomever they want. That is in the law! And if you don’t believe that should be the law, then you can’t be Canadian. *You don’t belong here* - and I mean it.”

.
I mean
is she wrong? - if Canadian at large believe LGBTQ+ is part of their values
you better obey or get out, its their lands, their rules

we wont like foreigners coming to Pakistan and disrespecting our values? , would we?

Hi

English Muslim here.

Your comment works for those with a lower mental capacity however Muslims are intertwined in the fabric of their society now, whether they like it or not - the opinion of the Muslim counts, especially those born there.

Their opinion would be in line with traditional Jews and Christians, so are they not welcome either?

This retort by the teacher is therefore islamophobic, unless anyone can highlight a identifiable difference to me.

Okay, This one makes sense.

We believe in freedom, we believe that people can marry whomever they want. That is in the law! And if you don’t believe that should be the law, then you can’t be Canadian. *You don’t belong here* - and I mean it.”
This doesn't. People can differ on what laws there should be and consequently, how their society should function. That's the essence of democracy.

No one is saying the teacher doesn't have a right to believe that the kid was wrong to skip the pride event. But singling a kid out and shaming him for it, is wrong. That's abuse of authority at the very least.

You wouldn't be called out for not attending some Ramadan event, nor would that make you an Islamophobe.

Agreed.

Unfortunately most conservative parties are compromised and are equally LGBT-friendly, more or less.

And here lies the major issue with current western political landscape; its binary (no pun intended). Socialistic economics and gender liberties are clustered one side of scale while economic liberties and social conservatism is clustered on the right side.

Islam is unique in that its both socially conservative regarding gender and sexual roles, and at the same time its progressive on intermixing between ethniticies and peoples of color, its both economically liberal and socialistic at the same time.

Islam dosent fit the traditional left-right political landscape. Islam is right in the middle of multiple political variances.

I agree with what you said about Islam except the intermixing between ethnicities and people of colour. Islamic history speaks against that and I would go as far as saying Islamic states of the older times practiced effetive apartheid. The situation has greatly improved in the modern times by virtue of western pressure and not by virtue of Islam.
