I did not say that you have to be a secessionist to be an ethno-nationalist. But secessionism in subcontinent is almost always associated with ethno-nationalism while the reverse may not be true. Please don't mistake correlation with causation.Couldn't disagree more. Tell me and my kinfolk that we have to become Ram-bhakts to remain Hindu, and you'll find out. There is no secessionist move in Bengal, just a wish that the cow-belt turds would leave us alone and mishandle their own states. There is enough damage they can do to themselves, before coming around to us.
We are still the peaceful ones. Try telling the Tamilian that he is secessionist because he is ethno-nationalist. Do it from a safe distance, preferably on a long-distance phone line. Just some good advice; you can also do it standing on the Marina Beach. Remember to tell all your friends on PDF where to send the flowers.
I've never known Bengalis in India to be secessionists. But Tamils have a history of secessionist ethno-nationalistic views. This notion mellowed in the 60s after the defeat from China.
