Israeli companies were sub-contractors on the AWACS if I am not wrong, and they refused to supply because it was for Turkey. I was kinda hoping Boeing would make contract with TEI or something as sub-contractor.

If the camera weights too much, then that means it can be smaller, and they'll R&D a smaller camera with same or better performance. You only learn to overcome an obstacle when you face one.

The point is, some of you national Turks were gloating how ANKA is great and superior to that pitiful Heron-1 that couldn't carry your superior 120kg aselflir to 30,000F, and the sweet irony struck big time! your own national project couldnt carry your own system, how could that happen? the only thing ANKA is superior over Heron, and this is a matter of taste, is the good looks, Herons are ugly! but they were build for other purposes rather than please the eyes, so i foresee future export market of ANKA is Hollywood!

AselFlir 100 (35kg), 135 (~40kg), 235 (55kg) and 335(?) series will be all 3th generation and ligher than current standarts.

I never said he said that, I'm saying that and soon it'll be operational 10 ordered for army and all tests finished so soon it will be flying.

I didn't compare anything with Anka. I am just pointing out How ANKA is maturing and Which difficult ladders Turkish institutes are walking and comparing the way of development time of a UAV from design to serial production phase with delivery schedule of a matured system Heron delayed for delivery to make it more clear that ANKA is a succesfull program... It isn't important What Zaman claimed about 300T or ANKA...

Common sense : While trying sold ANKA as competator in UAV market againts already proven platforms like Heron keeping the price lower than US/Europen or Israel companies is a must.Who would buy an unknown expensive product which entered market just recently when there are already proven products in market by world known companies and they are more cheap ?
