Businesspeople meet COAS ahead of FY22 budget presentation

Politicians interfering in the workings of police and bureaucracy is normal? Posting transfer for political gains is normal? Using state machinery for your personal ambitions is normal?

He has interfere with everything, from police to establishment and in the judiciary.
These two scums brothers have destroyed Pakistani society with their corrupt practices.

Is this a normal behaviour!! I am not worried about Justice Shaukat, he is a patsy of Sharifs. But with the same token Bajwa has no right to interfere in any issues outside of PA.
No it's a normal behavior because Pakistan is not a normal nation. It is run through complex networks of political kinship where top civil military brass has deep connections with each other. Justices like Shaukat and Faez Isa are not fighting for constitution and rule of law but to help corrupt people like Nawaz Sharif back in power. They are part of the problem not the solution.

In the last 73-years, not a single Pakistan Army General is capable of winning an election after retirement, yet they all think they have the capacity to be the unelected President.

Shame on Pakistan Army.
They don't need to. When their boot polish politicians can run in the elections for them.

"Whosoever of you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart—and that is the weakest of faith"

No one is holy cow in Pakistan; justifying one's acts because others are also wrong is moral bankruptcy.

Call spade a spade and by bringing everyone under rule of law is when Pakistan will truly change.

The British needed this to control undivided India, it's 73 years now. Time to get rid of the Victorian mindset.

Yes. End political kinship system in Pakistan first. Who is going to implement rule of law and constitution when top civil military brass has deep connections with each other?

Isn't it a shame that you have to justify acts of a head of a respectable institute by giving examples of goons and absconders?

Yeah who will do that? Who will end Biradari politics? Who will stop politicians interfering in police and bureaucracy? Problem is not just top army brass but also civil brass

Respectable institution that violated constitution of Pakistan multiple times, implemented martial laws, gave NROs to corrupt politicians?

Under normal circumstances, the COAS or the Fauj shouldn't be indulging in matters of politics or business. But circumstances are not normal in Pakistan. Pak fauj will continue to have a role in civilian life as well for some time at least. Not least being the lack of adequate managerial firepower at the top level in Pakistan. Faujis and retired faujis can provide that.

Right thing is to create an institutional framework for this. Specifying what is that the Fauj/COAS can do and cannot do in civilian life.

Regards

Again; not the institute but the individuals sitting on top and there has been no accountability or even a public discourse to make culprits answerable. I said it in another thread of mine; which you've mentioned as well, this paitipara mentality where act of an individual or individuals is seen as an attack on the institute and everything wrong is defended and anyone questioning such acts is labelled anti-institution. This can't continue like this if Pakistan has to truly progress.
