Allah help us all, Afghan are playing in hands of India and US. Pakistan should try to avoid looking aggressor to Afghan masses which their media may have been already portraying Pakistan.

US and India is trapping Pakistan in this new trap. Pakistan should bring China into picture to have investment in Afghanistan to mitigate Indian and US influence there.

And Pakistan is getting trapped ... Even the Pakistan Army is not understanding the trap... They could have convinced Afghans through talks.. May be talks could have taken some months but , let it take some months , since border is open since decades & centuries... and you want to regulate it in a year. It will take some time. Convince Afghans and start regulating the border in a step by step way.... Otherwise, US has decided to pitch Afghanistan against Pakistan. US has started supplying weapons to Afghanistan...Old Divide & Rule policy...

Then it was a poorly thought out plan; Pakistan is going to get blamed whatever happens. Our leaders know that, so lets just use direct action to get our interests secured rather than worry about world opinion, which is already hostile.

Then, IMHO, the situation is like "a drowning man catches at a straw"- much worse than I had anticipated. In the heat of the battle, these ANA folks will drop dead in terror before firing a single shot like their glorious predecessors in South Vietnam or Iraq. What's wrong with the US policies? They hardly leave behind a fighting force although spending enormous money and effort, and equipping them with all the gadgets....

• Make that region a new province of Pakistan

• Take out Taliban in their own yard

Create 2 political parties in Afghan Province who are in favour of Pakistan and let the parties hire educated folks to represent real issues , and we will knock out Terrorist if they show up

Please don't bring the US into everything. The US has been in Afghanistan for the past 15 years. Their attitude has started to change towards Pakistan (in serious capacity) since the opening of "Indian Culture Centers" a few years ago. We all know what "culture" is taught and trained out of these centers over mountains without any population. Its India's language these people were speaking. Now they get to take the hit and India is as expected, nowhere to be seen!!

US is equipping Afghans from a long time, but there are several problems with that, Major problem is corruption, ethnicity. Plus every month hundreds of afghan soldiers ran from army and they ran with weapons as much as they carry and later sell it to Taliban .
