"Who am I to interfere with what goes on between Pakistan and the United States? That's a matter for these two countries to consider and decide."

Hint, hint: F-16s

Bold Step by Gilani , I am also sure Manmohan singh will accept .. hope it all goes well and no kargil like situation arises (for eg Nawaz andVajpaye) when our democratic elected govt is tryin to make peace with our neighbours.

.
Disastrous diplomatic move by Pakistan.
indians were longing for any such opportunity from long time.
Now what singh will tell in Pakistan? and what more Pakistan can give to indian than already granted free transit trade AID woth billions of dollars!

Significant difference between responses to a civilian deal (which has no chances of happening) and aid/deals for military equipment which will be used against India..

Are you of the opinion that all that India induction is to merely please the Delhi warlords with displays and demos.;)

There should be a limit to which one may troll, also one should widen his horizon beyond Zaid Hamid shows.

(The bold part above) WoW, Pakistan gave India AID worth Billions of Dollars :rofl::rofl:, Dude wake up and smell some coffe.

About the transit trade, its one way, you let Afghan trucks to come to India as a good will gesture, but those return back empty from this side.

What a Pity, status quo will never change cuz of such hatred reactions, both sides need to corporate :frown:

Do you see any option to change the status quo?

India: whole of Kashmir is ours, Pakistan invaded back in 1948 and illegally occupying a part, return that to us.

Pakistan: Whole of Kashmir was ours, the people never got a chance to vote with whom they want to live. India is illegally occupying a part of kashmir and torturing the people.

Now give me what can you solve on the table, when both parties come with this prejudice?

Meeting to discuss more rhetoric.

26/11 proved that the basic frame work of Indo-pak relations will never change , as long as their are those determined to fight .
what ever politics was involved was a systematic fault that has always existed.

between 2004 and 2008 their was actually progress made towards peace , attacks still happened. but none the less there was a minimal amount of trust between the two parties involved. motivated by the threat of nuclear war.

Now there is no trust,
Nuclear war is all that is stopping us from going to war . Without this the next time some one lights the fire it may not as as easy to control.

and worst of all there is no leadership in Pak.

How much power Gilanni really has compared to the army is yet to be determined.

Pakistan is slowly becoming a stable, modern democracy........it will take time........but yes it still lacks good leadership......even funny Zaid Hamid accepts this fact........lets hope that someone from our generation becomes pakistan's manmohan....

, I study in Alevels and in our history books (written by a foreign author), its totally the other way around, and that's what we Pakistanis believe in, so trust me the only solution to that is to ask Kashmirs what ever they want and that will never happen,

So RIP to the thread :hitwall:

As I mentioned before, as a Pakistani you will believe in that version and stick to it.

So how can you think of any other solution rather than the status quo?

Yup, there are two factors:

Kashmir Issue
IMO
Solution 1: can be solved by proper polling, Kashmirs can chose Pakistan or India or there own free land.
(Which will never happen)
Solution 2: United Nations Trusteeship Council take over the situation in there own hands (the best option IMO):coffee:

Water Issues

(dont have any idea about this)

Both Kashmir Issues and Water issues have been debated multiple times in multiple threads, I dont think we two should restart the loop back again :D

Both your sollutions have problems associated with them and thats why nothing has been and wont be implemented.
