England's David James, Dutch Boeteng to join Ronaldinho on Pakistan visit

KARACHI: Former England goal keeper David James and former Netherlands' midfielder George Boeteng are confirmed as two other footballers who would be joining legend Ronaldinho for an exhibition match in Pakistan this summer.
The announcement was made by Ishaq Shah, COO of Leisure Leagues Pakistan, while addressing a press conference in Karachi.
"We are bringing the best footballers to Pakistan and this will surely help bringing Pakistan Football into limelight," said Shah, while confirming the names of two players.
He confirmed that the event would take place in summers in Karachi, but was reluctant to share further details.
Ishaq, however, confirmed that Ronaldinho will be leading a team of international stars which will play a match against local players.
46-year-old David James is a former English footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He recently served as the player–manager at Kerala Blasters FC in the Indian Super League.
The former England goal keeper is 4th on the list of all-time Premier League appearances with 572 top-level matches.
He was capped 53 times by England between 1997 and 2010, and was first choice goalkeeper during the team's Euro 2004 and the 2010 World Cup campaigns.
41-year-old George Boateng is a former Dutch footballer who is of Ghanaian descent. He is currently the technical director of Kelantan FA playing in Malaysia Super League.
Boateng, as defensive midfielder, has played four international matches for Netherlands.

Sources claimed that Ronaldinho (ambassador of Spanish team Barcelona ) will visit Pakistan to play an exhibition match in Karachi,Pakistan.
The 36-year old ambassador of the Spanish football club Barcelona has confirmed his availability to visit Pakistan for the match, according to the report.
It, however, didn’t mention date of the match and it was also not immediately clear which teams would be playing.
Ronaldinho has played 97 matches and scored 33 goals for the Brazil national team. He was an integral part of the 2002 FIFA World Cup-winning team in Korea and Japan, starring alongside Ronaldo and Rivaldo in an attacking trio, and was named in the FIFA World Cup All-Star Team.
Pakistan recently hosted final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Lahore in an effort to resume international cricket which came to a halt after deadly militant attack on Sri Lankan team in 2009.
The PSL final was the highest level game played in Pakistan since the attack on Sri Lankan team.
