3-4 year old cars are perfectly fine. The goal should be to find a car with low mileage. BMW and Mercedes are not fuel efficient or wallet friendly.

In Sweden, even 5 yrs old cars are kept in immaculate conditions by Swedes especially if single owner owned. When I came here, I purchased an 8 months old Audi 4 and it had the highest trim-level and I didn't face a single problem yet.

Reasons to buy Audi in Pakistan

If I talk about Audi A4
The mileage it gives is 11-13 KMPL in city while it hits easy 16 KMPL on the Highways / Motorways which is almost same as mileage of Toyota Corolla in Pakistan while the BMW 5 series I drive last was giving 9-11 KMPL and 14-15 KMPL on highways yeah difference is minor

Audi Centers and maintenance
Well Deewan Motors of BMW is just milking the customers if you go just for the maintenance of your car they are over charging

• Fluid levels’ check
• Exterior and under-body visual check
• Interior and electrics inspection
• Audi Service history stamp/record
• Oil filter replacement
• Engine oil replacement
• Interior / Exterior cleaning

All the above mentioned things of Audi A4 cost 9000-12000 rupees PKR and A3 cost 8000-9300 rupees

While if you see the Maintenance cost of BMW A3 starts from 11000 if I talk about BMW 320i While BMW 318i cost 14000 rupees and above while you have to wait for spares months or weeks cause many spares are imported on order

Yeah highway is always minor.

If the goal is to drive in the inner cities a hybrid is the better choice.

Yes, indeed you are right. The one I had back in 1990s had round lights and was saloon. They still handle the same way as 1990s models.

Same here. We have 7-8 year old cars that are in perfect condition. Very low mileage and a bargain.

I must say you Swedes have an immaculate car Volvo. The newer models are extremely tempting. They definitely rival top German brands.

i actually considered volvo as well, a friend of mine use it. V60, it has extremely well fuel economy.

I am going to assume you are in netherlands

BMW 3 or A class, there isn't much between them.
At that level, the deciding factors will be:

Dealer support ( in some countries, dealers are bigger thieves than others )
Condition of car you want to buy.
If you have an indy nearby who can support your car. < -- this is very important because dealers will suck you broke.

If you are in Pakistan, don't buy either one the German cars.
There simply isn't any support infrastructure to keep these cars doing what they are supposed to do on the road.

There are dedicated car forums, bimmer and benzworld; folks there are very responsive and have very good buying guides.

You will most probably find someone from your own locality on the forum who will happily show you the way ..
