At least 30 people were killed and dozens were injured in Peshawar on Friday after an explosion in an imambargah situated near the Qissa Khwani Bazaar area.

Speaking to the media, CCPO Peshawar informed that according to initial reports, two attackers tried to enter the mosque. The police officers present on duty were fired at, which resulted in the death of one cop, while the other was seriously injured.

The blast inside the mosque occurred following the firing incident, he added.

He maintained that according to initial information, scores of people have reportedly been injured. “Senior police officials have reached the site,” the CCPO assured the media.
Rescue services confirmed the number of injured and medical aid is being provided and the injured are being shifted to nearby medical facilities.

Soon after the blast, a large contingent of law enforcement officials reached the site and cordoned off the area. The bomb disposal squad also started its initial investigation.

For People here blaming India & Afghanistan I have one question. What are we going to do about the radicalized population on hand? Most of the bombers and facilitators are local Pakistanis. You cant beat idealogy by creating fences and closing borders we need to reeducate our society.

When we went on a path of destruction in 80s and radicalised our society under Zia that wasnt India or Afghanistans doing. Time to own up to mistakes and solve them.

In India, an attack like this would have effectively forced an Indian incursion into pakistan on the very least, if not an outright invasion. Can you say that your comrades have shown to value the lives of their countrymen equally, when they are more concerned about "cricket matches" than the fact that 50 (probably more by now) people have been killed?

My comrades won't be voting for the people who committed this attack as their PM not to forget they would be celebrating their death once our security forces would kill them

As for any possible Indian incursion. I am pretty sure that would result in death of some Pakistani crows and some Indian military personnel. No doubt that.
