Blast in Jamshed Quarter, Karachi leaves 3 dead

KARACHI: Security in-charge Bilawal House, Bilal Sheikh was killed along with two police officials in a blast that took place in the Jamshed Quarter area, near Gurumandar, Karachi on Wednesday, Express News reported.

Explosives were planted underneath the bullet-proof car of security in-charge Bilawal House, which went off when the car was passing near Jamia Binoria, reported Express News correspondent Rehan Khan.

The explosion killed Sheikh along with this two security guards. Nine people were reported injured.
The injured were taken to Jinnah Hospital, where three of the injured were described to be in a serious condition, reported Express News. The area has been cordoned off for further investigation.

“Jamshed Quarter has many mosques and an imambargah,” Express News correspondent Wasiq Muhammad reported.
