That is the perception they want to generate. There is more injustice and suffering in India but its relatively terrorism free. Pakistan borders Afghanistan, its a hotbed of all the global terrorists who are mercenaries for hire to the highest bidder. Pakistan is an easy target.

Most were disillusioned Pakistani migrants [or their children], Bangladeshi, Somali's or Arabs from the countries caught up in the vortex like Libya, Iraq, Syria etc. . Very rare for Turk or Iranian to be part of this cadre.

They mostly had turned against their host because of racism or had struggled to integrate in Western countries. This created conflict of identity, security and acceptance. They found global Islamism as a refuge for their issues relating to integration.

All this should help us to understand why people like this Baloch student are prepared to blow themselves up. Brainwashing is too simple a lazy excuse to avoid the more diffucult thinking needed to understand the dynamics here.
