I think its Half true fleet of F16 is more MLUs one whom they gonna phase put in next 15 yrs only 26 to 36 new one will be left its not gonna hurt big .But i still beleive we need third type here will delute further American leverage .

I was trying to figure out what are the key specific benefits of Block D vs Block C , USA seem to have a big inventory of Block C however not enough Block D have been made since US obviously moved to Raptors and F35

Are the block Ds 2 seaters or specific night mission enhancement or radar improvements vs the Cs

And why does the plane description always lists the C/D together ? Are the two variants close in term of technology

That is becuase because they (US ) have a significant number of F-15Es. Our Ds are supposed to play the role of the F-15Es

The thunder need to mature at their own pace , its coming along we just have to let the platform mature with age

yes in some aspects gone are the days when the blackmail could be done by suppressing spares for the F16, but I am of the belief you can trust satan but never trust the yanks. they outperform satan in some instances with their devilish policy.

Era of 90s is gone we have alternate plus if we add a third type it will dilute theior blckmail to zero .All old F16s which r MLUs now will retire in next 15 yrs planning is already on the table to replace these Birds .what US will blckmail over 26 or 36 jets .

US Senate rejects move to block F-16 sale

WASHINGTON: The US Senate on Thursday rejected by two-thirds vote a resolution to block the proposed sale of eight F-16 aircraft to Pakistan.

In a house of 100, 71 Senators voted to reject the resolution moved by Republican Senator Rand Paul who wants to prevent the Obama administration from making the proposed sale. Only 24 Senators backed Senator Paul’s move. Others abstained.

“The vote on the procedural resolution was moved by Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell, also a Republican, to kill the resolution Senator Paul had moved,” said an announcement released after the vote.

“The procedural resolution was passed by approximately two-thirds majority, denying any further motion against the sale,” it added.

The Senate debated the measure for an hour during which Senator Paul strongly urged other lawmakers to support his move.

Senator Paul, who is also a former Republican presidential candidate, used a provision of the Arms Export Control Act to force a floor vote on his resolution.

The Congressional Research Service, however, released a report earlier this week, explaining that Senator Paul must wait 10 days before launching his legislative attempt to block the sale.

In a recent interview to the US media, Senator Paul said he would continue to try to stop the sale even if his initial efforts failed.

He said he would block “any arm sales to Pakistan” until Islamabad released Dr Shakil Afridi and Asia Bibi, a Christian woman being held in prison for violating the country’s strict blasphemy laws. Dr Afridi is believed to have played a vital role in the manhunt that led to the locating and killing of Osama bin Laden. He is being held in a Pakistani prison on a 33-year sentence.

The pakistanis don't understand and don't want to understand is that the sanctions this time would be different---. Under these sanctions---even turkey would not be able to supply the parts---.

Secondly---the performance of the F16's would be curtailed.

The one thing about the americans is that they don't spring a surprise on you----they let you know up front what is coming---only you---the recipient gets surprised when the freight train hits you---.
