Snub to India: US Congress clears Pakistan’s F-16 package

.
Why not send $20m to offshore account instead of paying 450. At least we will be able to buy Wheat with 430 next year. Win Win solution!

.
It could also mean US is about to sign something big with India? F35?
India is already buying 1000+ GE Engines for Tejas MK1 , MK2 , TEDBF and AMCA is also very likely to use GE engines though engine is yet not finalized for AMCA
I don’t know how can India trust US for supplying engines for such a huge number of aircrafts India has been researching on turbofan engine technology for last 40 years maybe they are confident that they can replace American engines with their indigenous engine after 10 years

Hey, if 50 Years don't get you an engine - you can just wait another 50 Years to go by without making a breakthrough.

.
Imagine an American saying with an American accent:

"Dil dil Pakistan,man!"

Congratulations!

It took India 40 years to develop Kaveri engine but the wet thrust (81kn) of Kaveri engine was not adequate enough to power HAL Tejas and that’s why they had to continue using American GE engines (which has wet thrust of 90kn)
But that doesn’t mean kaveri engine is useless they have developed the derivatives of kaveri engine to power drones and trainer jets.
  • Kaveri Marine Gas Turbine (KMGT), a recently developed derivative of the GTX-35VS Kaveri engine for ships.
  • Ghatak, a Kaveri derivative to be developed to power India's Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle DRDO Ghatak.
And the most important thing is the experience and knowledge which they have gained in past 40 years trying to develop an engine as efficient and powerful as the western engines.
This knowledge and experience is the reason I believe India will be able to develop a 90kn wet thrust engine for Tejas aircraft in less than 10 years of time without any help from France , UK or USA
