Geely EmGrand EC7

This model had its world premiere on April 20, during the ongoing Beijing auto show. The new model has updated styling, interior, dynamics, equipment and technology.

It is equipped with Geely's first 1.3T turbocharged engine and a six-speed manual transmission, which both showcase the automaker's breakthrough in powertrains.

The Great Wall's SUV brand:Haval will build a SUV series from H1 to H9, of which, H2, H5, H6, H8, has entered into market, other are lining up:

Rumor said that the H7 will be renamed as H5, and H7 will be redesigned,not confirmed officially.

Haval SUV appearance is good comparing with other domestic brand, but The Great Wall have its disadvantage: The transmission, especially AT, maybe not only the Great Wall's advantage, also China Auto industry, if Great Wall can solve the problem, its sales volume can increase at least 50%.

Although unhappy with this, traditional automobile industry is, and still will be dominated by the west. Very limited space for Chinese companies to make breakthrough, because the development of automobiles was accompanied with 2nd industrial revolution, they have more than 100 years' auto tech reserves . I think China auto companies should focus on hybrid and electronic cars. It doesn't matter we can't make good cars equivalent to the current western type, we have the future. China research and development spending will surpass the U.S. in 2022 according to conservative predictions. We have enough money and time to make awesome cars of next generation.

Independent research is still the only way to knock this out. I don't believe the acquisition with west companies would bring much new tech and ideas for our own brand. Just look at Tata, failed example.

Western Auto industry is built on strong manufacturing equipment and core component, that's disadvantage of China domestic Auto Industry, real gap between China and Western, Assembling Car is not hard, China don't lack of car company, but lack of strong parts manufacturer and manufacturing equipment company, not strong base, skyscraper collapse easily, sad that, we lack of the kind of patient companies.
