Well, it's already registered under TN heritage. Harissa is what Pizza is to Italy... They can try... but as long as the name is Harissa... they can all keep trying...
TN is the Only exporter of Harissa... where the main ingredient is only found in the northeast region of Tunisia...

No, he is right..It is Tunisian dish originally but now it is cooked in many neighbouring countries as well.
Harissa international use is fairly recent. (outside NA)
Even in the ME, not many use it,at least till recently.

When I was in Algiers, the wife of my landlord cooked Harissa. She was from Tunisia.

Eastern Algeria is very Similar to TN... after all it was TN before the French colonization... TN lost all of its land... since it wasn't a colony... The French took their pen and put everything in their colony of that time ie Algeria...

Harissa can be used as a condiment or directly with bread/ olive oil and Zitoun/Olive.

Haleem actually sounds like one of the Isma e Ellahi, so some people out of respect use daleem instead.
Ya I saw some bangalI youtube video while in UK that was forbidding people from using the word haltemprice due to it being Asma ul husna
