I have had this discussion before with some punjabi friends but apparently it's called daleem in their region and haleem in Karachi or urdu speaking community.
Same goes for Nehari. The punjabi version of Nehari is called Chiniotti khunna but nowadays it's nehari all over Punjab.

From what I understand, the limitation on the age of an animal is for ritual sacrifice, rather than on consumption for oneself.

@denel do you have a link to the fatwa of the org you stated have declared veal haram? I'd be interested in reading about their perspective.
